So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?
  • Aw, Jackie, how awful.  At least you were assessed by the professionals but allowed back to your own bed.  As Deb says, it is nicer than hospital.  But sorry you are feeling so rubbish.  Get well soon  xx

    Hi Jacks77

Sorry to hear you've had a bad time . It's so unpredictable this treatment. Glad to you a&e home and tucked up in your own bed.  Hope tomorrow is a better day and you start feeling better .

I've just had my first T cycle today so I will wait and see how I get on with the SE.

    Big hug

  • Afternoon all,

gosh you are all having such a hard time this week :-( Sorry I don't have any words of wisdom or experience

sending positive thoughts and lots of love your way this Easter weekend.

those oncology appointments sound very confusing!!

ive had a good week on the old recovery front. The skin has stopped peeling and no longer itchy, still get the odd shooting pain, alien seroma is shrinking still and just had Physio and thankfully the scapula is back in it's correct position so only thing stopping me getting full movement is th muscle, so lots more exercises to do now To build the muscle back up. She reckons another 6-8 weeks of concentrated effort should do it.

my family are going their separate ways this weekend. One daughter skiing with school, the other surfing with her cousin in Bournemouth and Matt and I are off champagne drinking in Reims.....an end of active treatment treat..... and had to use up Eurotunmel that we should have used at half term but rads got in the way!

take care of yourselves and I do hope you get to enjoy the Easter weekend,

    lots  of love

Good grief, it seems that March has been the month of serious side effects - thank goodness it's nearly over - let's hope April brings fewer reactions and a lot more people feeling a lot better!

Huge hugs to everyone who has been feeling poorly, hope you all feel better very soon!

I think everyone can take as many hugs as they need - he won't run out!

  •  - all the best for this cycle.

     - you give us all hope with your talk of end-of-active-treatment holidays.  Thoroughly well deserved.

     - April will be the month of no side effects!!!  Hmmm, we can but hope.  Well, it will be the month of my last chemo so I'll grin and bear it whatever.

    Linda xx

thank you I need a bear hug today:  backache, stomach ache ( DD daily diarrhoea), sore feet, eyes, hands and I’m only on third cycle :-(

Trying to be positive though ....

  • Jacmatholmad - Wow looks like a lovely Easter break away for you and well deserved lovely lady! I definately feel human again today so putting this last week behind me! I can't say I'm looking forward to rt much as I've got fair sensitive skin and will probably resemble a flaky lobster lol, I'm sure though with your experience we will stumble through it! I'm, glad the seroma is shrinking and behaving itself finally!  We now have 4 wheat bags as hubby was so impressed he ordered another 2 for himself for his troubling backache! Enjoy the bubbles and have a fab weekend xxx Deb xx
