Hi Everyone,
Some of you might remember I posted on here a few weeks ago about the patronising and dismissive Pharmacist that told me " asking for different brands and thinking they are going to have different results , is all in your mind etc".
I was so upset and disgusted I told him that I would not support the village pharmacy any more and would take my prescriptions somewhere else. Â Yesterday I received a message on my mobile voicemail, asking me to ring the number as it was about my medication. Â No name, no indication other than it was a local number; so I rang it. Â It was the same pharmacist who wanted to offer his sincere apologies for the way he had treated me, and said his pharmacy had fallen short of the standard of customer service for which they were known, AND he had now managed to get me the brand i asked for!! Â Remorse or hitting his profits? Â Or am I being cynical? Â I accepted his apologies gracefully!
I do have another question: Â has anyone been diagnosed with fat necrosis, and if so what treatment was offered? Â I saw the surgeon briefly, before his clinic started as I had been having pains in my breast which were getting worse not better and it felt hot and had a large very hard lump which has appeared since I completed my r/t at the end of March. Â He was kind and said straight away that it wasn't a return of the cancer (I didn't think it was), he ultrasounded me and told me he would see me in December! Â As I was getting dressed he said through the curtain it might be fat necrosis, and then he went off to start his clinic....
Any information would be welcome, i don't wan to turn to Dr Google.
Glad the pharmacist came around, our local pharmacist has been really good as some brands seem to agree better than others for my wife and lots of people find a brand that seems to work better for them than others but it can be really difficult. Our GP who is generally a real star is very dismissive and says all brands are the same but on that point we just quietly ignore him.
On the fat necrosis side there is some information on the breast cancer care site that might be helpful.
<<hugs>>
Steve
I asked my pharmacist fir the femerabrand but he said could not order unless my gp specified on my prescription I have asked my gp secretary if this is possible and she is going to get back to me. Femera is £90 a month and the one I am taking is £3 so that is why the chemist won’t order until gp says so Will let you know if I get it !!!!!
