Wow. The before was better than me before this ship but the tattoo's are absolutely gorgeous. Wish I was that brave to attempt one. Maybe I will after whatever is needed too mine.

Morning all and Happy Easter! Snowys Mum it’s so clever because I tend to wear a halter neck swim costume now because of my tummy scar, and the way she’s done it, the tattoo can’t really be seen! So I can show it if I wish and if not I can keep It to myself! That said, I think I’m going to get her to cover my tummy scar too. It has just boosted my confidence even though obviously hardly anyone knows I’ve had it done! We are funny creatures. And I’m single for 6.5 years now since my divorce so nobody likely to see it either!!!  But thank you all for being so lovely about it, it’s been a really moving experience having it done. @JH70, it’s not letting me tag you for some reason, when you get to the end of your treatment then if you like it why not! I can tell you on the mastectomy side I couldn’t feel a thing! Other than the edge of the peony where is on my rib cage, the other side didn’t hurt as such, it stung intently, sometimes very intently, but I could cope quite easily. The lady who did it is Rosie Todman, if you put in Rosie Todman Tattoos in instagram she’ll come up. She has lots of mastectomy experience (but tattoos anyone) and she is incredibly kind and sympathetic. She worked with me to do the design and couldn’t have been kinder or put me more at ease. She’s in Cheltenham, I travelled for 1.5hrs to get there because I knew she would do a lovely job and trusted her 100% lots of love to you all and lovely to see you pop up wombat.23 xx

Looks like I'm HOPEFULLY going to be heading to Cheltenham. And maybe you should ask for commission from Rosie?

 she deserves every penny herself, I’m happy to big her up because she was so kind. I’d tried to engage with other, closer artists before her to be met with initially sympathetic responses but then a total lack of understanding of our rather different situations to the average person looking for a tattoo. She was the complete opposite. For example, many tattooists will only give you a design a night or two before the tattoo is done, for me that wasn’t going to work, I wanted it 3 weeks before, to envisage it properly. Rosie is also a real fine art artist so her attention to detail is amazing, the colours close up on the flowers are amazing x

Anna12345 your tattoo looks amazing - well done and so brave to get it done. So glad it makes you feel happy and confident- it’s lovely.I would love to have something like this and thanks for sending the details. As you say you need to find someone who understands and that’s a bit difficult to find. Unfortunately Cheltenham is a bit far for me as I live near Edinburgh ! X

At the start when I was looking at a lumpectomy done as breast reduction losing a nipple and healthy side reduced too, I was thinking of getting a cat cover-up tattoo, maybe trying to make the missing nipple the nose. However no surgery for me as it was quickly found to have already spread and no point linking the stable door when the horse is already in the next county! Think it could of looked great. 

Been quiet lately,  life is busy and soooo exhausting. I have lower immunity and got a cold which put me in bed for 3 days. Now determined not to get sick ever again!! But doing okay, loving the longer days and increased warmth =)
