.
How is everyone this evening? Operations and drug responses? I hope you all had a good day.
OH has taken my son to the airport. His wife's father died suddenly and so their plans for Christmas are on hold but son has brought his camper down as far as our house as he had the ferry booking and they will return when they can. Funerals take a long time in Uk don't they? She doesn't even have a date yet but here they must be conducted in 6 days by law. It meant lots of paperwork and organisation with little time to realise what was happening but afterwards......I could begin to greive and I didn't have a funeral to interupt.
Sorry not very cheerful.
((((hugs)))) if okay.
Funerals here vary. It depends on availability of where service will be conducted, the crem / burial ground, if any investigation into cause of death is needed, and if plans had been made ahead of the death. Very recently there was a funeral (followed by burial) 6 days after death, and that was commented to be very quick, often it's longer. (I did work as a SW in older people's services, and am a Quaker - we have no clergy, so a priesthood of all, and so I'm involved in organising Quaker funerals.) I'd expect before Christmas to be likely, but will depend on availability locally. Very much "a piece of string" answer sadly.
Ouch Harvestmoon , that's not helping you rest! Hope you got back to sleep.
Wishes to all xx
Oh Lacomtekp , very sad, it brings everything back, doesn’t it? Son was an FD (funeral director) for a good few years, some funerals have to be within 24 hours of course, but some are delayed, as BoxOfFrogs says, depending on whether a coroner has to be involved. it depends….
Night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe, plenty of Sleepy fairy dust for all who wish
hugs xxx

Been catching up. Is it inappropriate to say that it's nice to see new members.
Sorry for those going through treatment, it always seems worse with Christmas almost upon us, shush now with your countdowns LondonLass
Life here in wet Swansea plodding on, Daughter now 26 weeks but very unwell. The extreme sickness under control mainly with meds but GP guilt tripping her about using while pregnant. Daughter put in complaint as they know she's under pregnancy mental health service, had lost over 3 stone, her consultant approved use after the 12 week stage. Her MH is very low and we struggling to get her out of bed most days now.
Most exciting thing this week for me is after 4 years of procrastinating I've bought a new set of saucepans and passed on my two old sets with mishmash lids!
Hi Grogg , as a newbie I'll take the inappropriate compliment . Wish we weren't here, but glad to have found you.
Can't believe the GP, am glad she put in complaint. Hopefully it's upheld. Sounds really rough, never been pregnant but from the outside it looks bad enough without extreme sickness and MH issues.
But congrats on saucepans!
Lacomtekp / everyone... I've lost track of LP. Last sighting mentioned Scotland.... I'm now worried I've been a very negligent host and have left the poor boy alone in Edinburgh Waverley train station for days! Do I need to contact ScotRail and book him on a train north?!!!
BoxOfFrogs don’t you worry yourself. LP carries a little tag attached to his pants, saying:
IF FOUND PLEASE RETURN TO and my address. He is tucked up in bed as we speak. I believe he enjoyed a few days travelling around the rail network, enjoying treats from all the different buffet cars! He certainly looks like he’s been well fed!
How are you doing? Did you manage to speak to someone about your pain meds? I hope someone has helped you!
He’s been enjoying getting ready for CHRISTMAS! I believe it was Aunty Grogg who mentioned the C word! There I was being so quiet about it! I believe 22 more sleeps to go, until the BIG day!
Grogg sorry to hear that your daughter is suffering so badly. Not helped by a bloody useless GP! I imagine you are really looking forward to being a ‘granny, nanny or whatever you are going to be called’! Have you had the knitting needles out yet?
Now back to the BIG C! How about a nighttime Carol to settle you all down for the night….
followed by…..
keep smiling Fruit Loops! Nighty night. Sal and LP xxxx
Bugger! Just diagnosed with colon cancer today….tired, pissed off, sad.
A nice simple, early diagnosis with no complications would suit me fine….I don’t want the diagnosis unraveling like last time!
I need that fairy dust tonight….and if by any chance LP could be spared for my CT scan tomorrow I would appreciate it! Snacks for both of us packed! Xxx
Hi Galligirl well that’s pretty c**p news! Sorry to hear that! LP is on his way over now, so you have someone to snuggle tonight.
Let’s hope they’ve caught it super early and it’s easy to treat! Sending ((((((BIG HUGS))))) your way Hun!
Remember the Fruit Loops are always here for you. Even if it’s just so you have people to shout and scream at! Sal xxxx
Oh Galligirl ....I'm so sorry to hear that news. Let's hope it can be treated promptly and removed quickly. The treatment might not be pleasant but I have friends who have been treated for the same and they are living good lives now. Hope the scan isn't too arduous. LP will be good company.....
