  • Thought you might enjoy this one too  ….

    it made me laugh!

What type of tattoo design are you going for? If you don’t mind me asking! I’ve had a few friends use tattoos to cover/enhance their scars….. I think they look amazing!
Bet yours will look great too xx

  •  this care sounds appalling & downright negligent.  Good job his wife on the case.

just think what you've accomplished over the years,  There's a smallish "awake" thread that a port in a storm for all who need shelter  thanks to you.  I know you dreading starting the treatment but hopefully you'll be well supported & cared for x

the end is in sight so you can rest & recuperate x

  • Bless you  , totally understandable all those feelings you have, I totally get the part about missing the Sally you used to be. Please don't feel you are travelling down this road on your own, there are a whole crew of us, right there beside, behind and in front of you ready and willing to listen, support and chivvy you along that journey. I assume LP has now recovered from his little Spanish adventure and is ready to hold your hand tomorrow? I'm sure he will cause chaos...as only he can do.

There are so many of us on here who have you to thank for the support and uplifting attitude you have shown to so many of us. In fact none of us fruit loops would even be writing in this space, had you not founded the Awake thread...and thank goodness you did,. It's given so many of us a place to come when we have felt troubled by things, and not all of them cancer related either, knowing there would be someone who would be there to listen to our ramblings. I would like to thank you  . This world is.a much better place having you in it.

Sal, take a big deep breath before you go through those doors. One step at a time, one day at a time. You can do this girl!!!

    Much love

    Sally

  •   thank goodness your so has you and your daughter in law advocating for him so fiercely, hope wholeheartedly there is significant improvement for him swiftly.

nearly there. It never seems it when you’re in the eye of the storm, but you’ve nearly done Heart️

we’re all with you in spirit today, and every other day, that you strive for stability again. We can’t soft soap each other on here, we all know what lies ahead, the goal is stability, just keep moving towards it as best you can. And come on here and let rip, it is bl**dy unfair!!! And I too mourn for the women we all used to be, wish I’d valued a few things about ‘her’ more. But here we are! I Think we’re all still bl**dy awesome! Especially you Heart

r️e the tattoo! Well it’s being custom drawn for me, fancy! I’ve given him examples of what I like and inspiration I’ve taken from others who’ve trodden that route too. My recon is good in clothes but no getting away from it when they’re off, boobs are different sizes, nipples differently aligned and my nipple reconstruction is a bit odd tbh. So he needs to make that all good RoflRoflRofl it’ll be quite florally and fuller coverage on the recon breast, with a vine of flowers and leaves going over to the other breast to kind of include it. I’m getting it done in November so I’ll post a picture here when it’s done I promise x then I may well continue and cover the stomach part of the diep too, but we’re doing that as a separate thing, so in stages x

Good luck today Sal, lots of love Fruit Loops x

  • Oh and I love the cat! X

  • Thanks  treatment starts tomorrow! Today is my last day of freedom!! Hmmm how to spend it!

Tattoo sounds amazing! Good for you! Look forward to seeing it!

Hope you have a great day! Have a lovely day everyone xxxx

  • I feel this is very weird timing. But as we all continue on our own personal journeys….

  • And I think about tomorrow and…. Have to bring out the big girl pants!

  • Morning  ....I shall be thinking of you.

I don't know what your new treatment actually involves. Is it a type of chemo? Injections? Intravenous?  It would help to empathise if you have a minute to explain. I know you said these are long term drugs and I'm sorry it has to be this but I know several people taking other long term chemo and they're doing really well apart from  the inconvenience of having the treatment.  I know they feel it has been worth it as it h as stopped the progression of their problems. We are all hoping that for you.

Take care of yourself. Life is a little hectic here which is why I am sending my wishes now.

    Love Karen
