  •   I love your new coat !!!!

I went shopping today with my £50 online voucher from my new job (very generous of them)

Honestly I was as excited as a kid. I had to work out the technology, a lady in Costa coffee helped me, anyway I managed it and spent most of it in Primark.

I bought a coat !!! But went for sensible rather than glamorous,.wish I had gone more glamorous now I have seen your magnificent mauve coat xxx

Oh I am wanting a guinea pig now, seeing the baby one's. But I must be sensible and I have Ted anyway and Peachy and Kiwi xxx

What is everyone doing for NYE ? I am out of ideas

  • Thankyou for your nice remarks on my coat. You know that post I lost?Well it has turned up on ,”it seems I’m a patient now”!!

your coat sounds lovely ….and  yours does too….I was actually looking for a  less glam one to be honest….and kept going to see it and leaving without it…but it was still there on the Sale rail….and so decided it to get it ..I am afraid I do try to go a bit invisible at my age but still…..

Things To Do In New Year…..well I am going to be watching fireworks all over the world from the News which I enjoy every year….one of my bucket list used to be to see the New Year in from Edinburgh ,where we had a “ First Footer “once who was visiting my Gran who lived there xxx( a Scottish tradition of being the first to enter the house in New Year ) xxx

  • love the coat, what a beautiful colour

  • What a gorgeous coat  and the perfect colour for your forum name.

So sorry the treatments are making you feel so poorly  but so pleased to hear that the side effects had worn off in time for you to enjoy Christmas. The workshops are a great way to relax and lose yourself in something other than the illness. I did the makeup course myself and it was a revelation. I realised I've had no idea what I was doing all these years and it made me feel great for the rest of the day. So enjoy x

  • Im bathed and in bed. Relaxing with fluffy socks and tv on. Watched Nolly few months back on itvx. Remember crossroads music was on as Id arrive home from school! Anyone enjoying any good programmes on anything? Need to finish The Crown on Netflix.

New Years Eve we're missing our yearly party at friends as Im isolating as much as possible so its just a family night. We're making macaroni cheese and we'll play a trivia game, play cards and search for a board game and watch a film and I will be in bed before midnight most probably. 2024 will be the year of second op and chemo so not much of a happy new year to be. Im going to focus on happy new year for the children, they are my world, my everything.

My husband and I had a lovely walk and afternoon together. He did well today, we had fun and laughed and relaxed and talked. The children went with grandparents to shop for a new bed coming on the 10th for my son.

  • You live in a pretty place?  Hope the bed is a success.....

  • Well 4 slats in his bed have cracked, he's nearly 6 foot at 15 so anything will be better than a dent where his bum is!

This is in the city of Bangor in North Wales, it was a little spot of heaven in a small rural ish city, it was our first time there. Its around half an hour from where I live. Interesting history to the national trust castle where the path went through. It is stunning but it has a dark history with fortune made in local slate quarries and slave trade.

  • Bangor is lovely,  . Sorry about the broken slats in your sons new bed, my he’s a tall young man!

sorry you’re finding the chemo so tough,  but glad it timed as well as possible for Christmas. Yes the make up course was super, I learnt so much, like

I really do love your coat…..

I won’t be doing much for New Year, but I do hope the local bagpiper teacher will do his round on the estate as usual, it’s become quite a tradition, really missed it in lockdown. He usually has a party and the whole group process behind him.

Night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe, plenty of sleepy fairy dust for all who wish

    hugs xxx

  • What a beautiful area to live and so nice that you could spend that time together.  New Years eve has been a time for relaxing for me for several years, as I have been on my own now for 12 years - Christmas usually spent with family, but New Year my grown children tend to go away - come to think of it, I spent last New Year away in Madeira watching their wonderful fire work display.

2024 year of 2nd Chemo and op and radio therapy for me too..... positive side is that by the end hopefully all will be well..... positively keep planning for the future.
