Snowys Mum , sorry you have to work with Covid on this way. It seems father cavalier to just treat it as a cold. Your clients are all vulnerable. Is it a cost saving decision? Don”t know how you cope xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Violetsniff thank you. I’m very thankful that there were no mets!! I’m getting there, but still wiped out. Covid gets everywhere! Take care xx

Thanks moomy . I have been reading up on medical websites and I think the hepatitis was the start of the Covid, even though I tested negative the day I saw the surgeon and had the bloods. I’m still going to ask the GP to do serology when I have the repeat LFTs as I need to know for future management. I am being very well looked after by my lovely husband. He is going to take me out in the car for a tour of my favourite cherry trees this afternoon. Their blooming is now, a short period of time before it is all blown away. Xxx

So sorry you are poorly but the road trip to view the blossom sounds lovely. What a sweet husband you have
Grogg be a Councillor you would be such an asset xx
seaspirit44 enjoy the cherry trees. Yes it is definitely a cost related decision. However there is more disturbing policies regarding my patients.
For clarification the NHS guidance is no testing. If a member of staff is too ill to work, stay at home. When you feel well enough, come back. No testing of patients ( we are though)
Recently when we have had poorly residents needing hospital admission for whatever reason, urine or chest infection etc. Usually they would get IV antibiotics and some fluids and then get sent home to us. Now they are being put on End of Life given Midazolam in a syringe driver and dying. I suspect it is a new policy like the Liverpool care pathway that was stopped due to relatives complaining. Its a new version. And very scary, we are now scared of sending them.
Our deputy manager found out what they were doing and has been on the phone begging them to remove syringe driver and send them home.
I probably shouldn't be telling you this, don't grass me up. Needed to tell people (nice people who care)
Hi all just wanted to pop on and say Hi and send thanks for thoughts and prayers, I was suddenly whisked into hospital on Wednesday when I lost all strength in my legs and between my macmillan nurse and gp it was thought best place to be.
An MRI has confirmed severe compression on the spine. Options could include radiotherapy to the spinal column at base of scull but this could cause very unpleasant side effects so I am ruling this out at this point in favour for a comprehensive care package of hospital bed and specific carers coming in multiple times a day.
Sending my love to you all and home you have the sun I am seeing from the window here.
Snowys Mum I'm so shocked by the callous treatment of senior citizens. They deserve better .
Santababy hope you feeling more comfortable now. Such a scary time for you xx
Snowys Mum , I fear the powers that be just don’t want us oldies to continue, we’ve outlasted our welcome and the exchequer would benefit more from the money we’ve paid in for so many years. I’m disgusted and horrified! Sadly it was a prediction of a consultant about 40 years ago. Euthanasia coming scarily true.
Santababy , I’m so very sorry and am sending lots of love as well as the usual hugs and hope that they might be able to help you.
hugs xxx
Moomy
Santababy gosh that must have been incredibly scary! Thank goodness your Macmillan nurse and GP were on the ball. I hope that by now you are feeling a bit more comfortable? Looking out at the sunshine isn't as good as being in it, but let mother nature lift your spirits a little and play spot the pigeon or magpie!
Take care and thanks for letting us fruit loops know how you are. I'm sure you are in the thoughts of just about everyone on this thread.
Stay strong.
