Afternoon....I am still knee deep in papers!
The French have decided to put all applications online. They are piloting for the EU a scheme where all official paperwork goes through one system.....but to start, you have to register using all sorts of codes....fiscal code, birth dates, address etc. All I want is to renew my driving license but it took two hours because the site decided my name wasn't correct! It must match my birth certificate, it said. Well, obviously Karen is fairly difficult to mispell and I know my father spelt it that way when he registered me. Luckily I learned before I moved here for French admin you must keep every bill for 30 years so I do have all the necessary numbers but......it didn't like my name, my email, and it wouldn't allow me to move on. As there is no other way, I had to keep trying and it suddenly moved.
Then I wanted to apply for a gov refund on my wood. I had scanned everything but the programme would only work on my phone. So, in the end I just photographed everything and attached it to the phone request. Too tired to continue I attempted the third job this morning. The photocopier suddenly won't work and I am not sending originals. So in exasperation I am going outside to garden.
C'est la vie!
@lacomtekp there is nothing more infuriating than trying to get through a ponderous bureaucratic system online with systems that don’t work! I often feel like throwing my computer out the window! Xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Well the good news is that my son, daughter in law and both grandchildren have all finally stopped the diarrhoea and vomiting, the headaches have eased and they have all managed to eat something solid for the first time all week. Both children's fevers have gone too. It's been a pretty worrying few days, but thankfully they all seem to be over the worst of it. Hopefully that sleepy fairy dust will settle gently on me tonight...I could do with some sleep!!
Night night all
Yes we have similar frustrating experiences with online applications here in Spain...I learned very quickly after moving here to shrug your shoulders and say it's Spain. They want so much done online now but don't have the technology in place to enable you to do it smoothly,!
Good luckLacomtekp
That is breathtaking @Lacomtekp!I try so hard to get such a beautiful photo.
and Dicha that sunrise!!
have had so much to do during these 2 weeks where “normal life”seems in limbo….
ironed and hung my new curtains(blackout and thermal)…seems to be helping my sleep,as I normally sleep with eye pad and pillow over head to block ou the light from outside….Yes!A BRAINWAVE occurred!!
Went out with a nice group of Ch friends yesterday.I was feeling a bit shy of meeting new people, but fortunately I had a lovely dog brought in by a couple of them,to stroke and lay his chin on my lap!Perfect!!
I have been told my twin brother has half/half chance of having prostate cancer.
It is worrying ….advised him to go for the biopsy….
Dear seaspirit44 …oh dear…you don’t need that…try to have as stress -free life as you can….I would change your counsellor …just hope you find a nicer one…
