.
Sorry to hear your son and family are poorly. The tests are not very accurate. Took my son and my husband 3 tests before they showed up as positive for covid last year even though they were clearly quite poorly with it when they took the first two.
Wishing your family a speedy recovery x
Those lateral flow tests are variable, son in law tested positive even before any symptoms, the day after son tested positive. That did impact on our family Christmas (now to be this coming Sunday)
sorry your family are victims of the virus, Grogg and hope they all recover swiftly and well.
Hugs xxx
Moomy
Yes that's my feeling on them moomy the results do seem variable.. this is the third time my son has had 'covid'. I say it that way because on the 2 previous occasions lateral flow tests showed him as negative, PCR came back positive. I have a feeling the same thing will happen this time.
I spoke with them on the phone this evening and they are all feeling pretty lousy. None of them have been able to eat anything and in fact the liquids they are making sure they consume are regularly making a reappearance in one form or another. They all of them have high temperatures and bad headaches. My son tells me the symptoms this time are totally different to the previous occasions. If it weren't for the fact my daughter in law has tested positive and she has exactly the same symptoms as the others, I'd actually be doubting Covid in the equation. I'll see how they are in the morning, hopefully the 10 year old twins will be slightly improved as they were the ones with the first symptoms.
So I did AskmybGP for hubby. I put that he saw spinal consultant 28th who was concerned about BP and advised to take twice daily readings and send to GP. Elevated BP has been noted a few tones over the years but GP unconcerned. I sent a screenshot of results. It's elevated. Receptionist replied saying thank you I've put on your file. So is that it. Are receptionists deciding that's all that's needed x
That doesn’t sound right @grogg. Still cannot tag! GP should offer at least a phone consult to discuss meds or further monitoring and poss bloods. Xx

Before they closed call I put another reply after this asking does it require medical assessment and within minutes had a phone call booking him in to see nurse tomorrow. Online it says it's elevated but at lower end sometimes. He's 61, moderately overweight. He's been taking average of two morning and night. Was 145/100 in hospital this time .
Good morning....a very grey day! Forecast was wet but now it's just mild and grey. Our birds are lazy. There must be insects. .....We only had frost in December for two nights... but they want seeds! They are queuing up in the Oleander waiting. Mum and I are watching them from her ground floor bedroom while we have our morning tea.
OH had a very difficult diabetic check up yesterday. I think his doctor was having an off day....menopause? Bad news? I am trying to make allowances as of course she's human but OH got very stressed. She says his control is ' too good' but he couldn't make her understand that if he doesn't keep on top of it, he feels awful.....Luckily a new tweak in equipment is coming onto French health service during 2023 which should help him more but she was definitely bad temperred!
Now, a paperwork day. As I'm now 70, driving license ran out and can only be renewed with electronic photo so more expense....new photos. Then I have more paperwork required for mum....it's endless and finally I can have 200€ back towards my granules( pellets?) as that is my only heating but.....need a receipt and our little shop uses a notebook and customer knowledge not till receipts! I bet he's been inundated with requests since Jan 1st.
Take care all. Have a good day.
Paperwork nightmare @lacomtekp! Is your mum really going to be able to stay? Difficult consultations are really distressing. I had one such with my counsellor yesterday. Upset me for the whole day and evening. Don’t know if I want to continue. But I did have a very helpful one with my homeopathic doc today, and feel much better xxx
