Oh yes. Sorry to those who like it but wouldn't catch me with a kindle although I've partially gone there as I do use borrowbox via the library. One of the first things I did when I moved was join the library and I have also got libby which is for magazines. It takes me to another place x
Tired Minion have a paper white kindle . I love the easy of carrying books, no trying to hold to read when spine is stiff etc but when reading a hard copy of book I check pages read m try to guess my speed of reading and how long till I finish. The kindle tells me the %age so I then try to see if I'm on target! It annoys hell out of me. Told I can switch it off but I know it's there.
I loved books but became a kindle convert when I realised I could buy the next book in a series at 02.00 in the morning as I finished the last page! Also for me buying books in English without postage is a big price difference so it's my excuse. I have a paperwhite for very bright sunlight but actually it's usually too hot to sit out in it so I just use kindle on my phone.
I'm a retired teacher.....as long as you read, I don't believe it matters what .....a book, an electronic format or just a magazine or newspaper. It's the reading that's the important bit!
Good night all. I should be asleep but I pulled my shoulder lifting the wheelchair into boot of car today and I'm waiting for the extra paracetamol to take effect.......
Santababy..I do hope the contractors finish soon. What a pain!
Mag123…so sorry you are having this issue with sleep. When I went through a bad spell I went to see my GP who gave me some sleeping tablets, which, through trial and error of trying different ones, have helped a lot.Sleep is so important.

Dear Mag123 and Tired Minion
I have a Pro what’s it one which my brother brought for me before I got my pension, and, despite a few bits of plastic flying off,and me needing patience and friend to help me put it back together, has been fab.The fact is it is the first time I have had a place of my own,so,at this late age,if something goes wrong it takes me a lot of heartache, panics, phone calls to friends to know what to do.
I am the same,Mag123…I would MUCH rather be reading or sewing than doing boring old housework. However I learnt a couple of tricks…1)put some good songs on in the background, and you can enjoy it,and 2)do one thing each day…then it does get done.
