Hi all, Not around here much atm as am abroad on holiday, but just popping on to send good wishes to Lacomtekp for your father’s funeral. Hope all goes as well as possible and that your journey back with your dear mum is straightforward. Glad to read about your good results seaspirit44. Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts which you have been sending me for yesterday.

It went as well as one might expect. Dad had planned the event and he wanted a folk dancing party.....no black and lots of bright music.....his faith has taken him to a better place and mum....she was happy to believe that he'll always be with her now until she joins him. 

There were so many good memories. We buried a truly good man....kind, generous, honest, without prejudice.......an endless list.

He would have been thrilled to see that for a short time my family were all together. Unfortunately my oldest had to leave....he's working the stage for Lady Gaga tonight at White Hart Lane but we got about four hours together after the service.

We sail tomorrow afternoon with mum coming back for at least six weeks.

Have a good weekend everyone. I don't suppose I shall have a lot of ' chat' time keeping mum company so don't worry about me if I disappear.....I'll drop by if I can!

Dear Lacomtekp, I am so pleased the day went well and family was together, able to honour such a special person in your life.
