Happy Werkend everyone!!
I got 7 hours sleep last night!!! First time in about 4 years.
Was feeling incredibly chilled until I opened my meds bag from the pharmacist and found my letrozole has been changed from Accord ymto Amarox. Not sure whether to moan at the pharmacist or see if the side effects are worse. Having just finally had a good night's sleep I am not sure I want to risk changing it! Advice please x
The excitement is mounting here...I have to work 12 hours Sunday then I'm off on holiday Monday. We are going to Llandudno in a seafront hotel with pool.
Lacomtekp Maybe you already know the figures but residential care home fees are at least £700 a week so for two years that's £124,000 for 2 people. What happens is that when your money gets down to £23,500 (each) the fees are funded by local authority. Then the individual is allowed so much a week for expenses it might be £20 I'm not sure now.
The advantages are that all the finance is above board and nobody minds giving care 24/7 catheter accidents, or any other accidents. Residents have interaction with many different people and stimulation from dedicated activities staff. However there are lots of disadvantages, clothes are washed in industrial washers, and get lost, the other residents might be noisy and intrusive. Food where I work is really good but maybe not everywhere. Really care homes are a last resort.
Xxxx
Snowy's Mum, a holiday in Lladudno sounds wonderful. I hope you have a really relaxing time.
Mag123Ok. She wanted plants and mum and I enjoyed looking at all the colours. The photos amazed me. They didn't look like that when I arrived. It really notices how spending time chatting, showing photos and going outside in the fresh air is improving them.
Fab pictures. Your dad has healthy appetite xx
Snowys Mumhave a lovely holiday in God's own country ! Bit of heatwave here today in S Wales. Both of us still recovering from Covid and testing positive so staying home. Hubby cut lawn, I pottered. Sitting outside in the sun really helped us feel better . One of my nieces dropped me essentials of bread, milk & chocolate! A neighbour gave me some homemade cake. We are gearing up for our street party next weekend and as I was absent from last meeting they've been inundating me with offer of help for shopping etc. so kind.
