Oh I see Grogg…I think I must be fortunate with my Surgery…Is there is a surgery Manager there ,or somebody high up you could talk to about this? Please consider changing surgeries….
I love that your daughter and yourself had a good laugh!a perfect antidote to things which are going on in the world…presently I am on a Project to not watch too much news…and yesterday found myself watching the Muppets and Chris Packham.Something to lose myself in…perfect antidotes!some of my friends and I are becoming frightened by the pictures on TV…
moomy..love your colours and support!
…so pleased your visit with your family went ok,and fab to get out in the sunshine!
Lacomtekp..what gorgeous photos!
I am slowly reading through posts…sorry may take a while xx
Violetsniff I'm the opposite, I'm obsessed by the news at the moment. I feel so impotent in helping the Ukrainians. I'm so in awe of the local Polish community in organising fundraising & support here. A friend sent me the PayPal of a Polish lady who has set up a soup kitchen, then my daughters work colleague put up Facebook post of a request for donations as they are taking essentials out on Friday. Started as one drop off at church to now multiple drop off across S Wales. I'm off now to buy some stuff to donate. A Member of Senate set up a crowd funding page with £5k target to go direct to medical needs in Ukrainian, now standing at £23k. While I've also supported the large charities not every penny of my donation will go to those helping in the ground so I'm happy I've found other's.
Hi Groggthanks.
well if I could I would be obsessed with it too…and watch 5 minutes to keep me informed, but, along with a few of my friends,I was becoming too anxious. One couldn’t sleep and one kept crying.I think the advice was meant for them really and people like them.Sorry maybe I should have Mede it clearer. In the background there are a lot of people doing good which I think should be highlighted more xx am so proud of your Polish community and daughter who are doing so much xx I have altered the wording a little x
I thought you were near me Tired Minion as you were at the Christie. 30 mins to Dunham . Go there often. Xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Sounds good. I need to check if we are connected so I can private message but on my phone today as in office so will check tonight x
Violetsniff. I didn't take your post in negative way at all , sorry if you thought that . My daughter avoids Covid news /adverts as huge trigger for her anxiety but she listens every night to podcast "murder with my husband ". Go figure
I annoy my hubby with constant news watching, how can we help mentality when crisis are on ! When Covid first hit thru made me a mock sign for window saying "Carol's foodbank drop off point ". I'd been badgering my neighbour WhatsApp group and they inundated me with donations ! Then I became a bag lady . Recycling bags impossible to get during first lockdown and I'm friendly with local councillor who had delivery and put on his drive so I offered to put some on my drive too as further down the hill from him. It ended up council delivering me boxes direct for months . I'm on a walking route to country park so lots of footfall and I got to chat to lovely people picking them up or dropping off if unable to walk to me . One of my friends on another part of our area also did same so we became the bag ladies ! I'm ex Licsl authority and I remember when I started work being told to always remember I'm a public servant !
I think my hubby finds news a turn off as he was Police Officer so had his fill of stress each day !
Etsy South Cheshire put a post on Facebook asking people to buy something sold as a digital download from one of their Ukrainian sellers as the seller wouldm't have to post the item and the money would go straight to them. I bought a pattern for a crochet bag.Never done any crochet but thought I would give it a go.
