Due to a reorganisation at work, my role is is one being downsized. So I’ve got an interview tomorrow at 12pm for a different role in the same department. I haven’t had a serious interview in a number of years and as I’m currently on sick leave, haven’t been entirely kept in the loop. Wish me luck fruit loops.
Rachel
Do hope your interview goes well, and that you're feeling well too. Remind them of all your successes in the role and how good you are, how you're so looking forward to returning, what an asset you are to the dept.
Good luck. Just asking if you work local authority and you are made redundant age 55+ you might be able to access your pension. After a short period you can even go back to the local authority you worked for but with different job title. Your new pay plus pension must be less than previous salary so many work part time. You pension will not be reduced for taking early so add back the deduction they tell you for early access.
Also as a cancer patient your are covered for life by Disability discrimination act so the fact you are off sick cannot be factor in determining suitability for post.
Hi Carol
I’m 55 so it would apply. This is a newly created role, and higher scale than my current substantive one. Not that I have done that for over a year, I’ve been covering other roles due to covid and other people retiring.
Hoping I don’t inflict death by PowerPoint on them.
Rachel
Good luck today Rachel . I’m sure you will smash it . Draw on all the strength you have shown during the last horrible months and transfer that energy in your interview . Afterwards , collapse in a heap with a glass of vino !!!
Lots of love to all as ever .and have a good day . Thank god dentists have come up trumps . I’m back to see my oncologist today who is lovely so,apart from trying to avoid omnichrom in Central London , bloody hell ! It’s hopefully a positive appointment .
