Thanks Violetsniff x my rollercoaster is parked in the sidings right now and I’ve hobbled off it for a while.. thank goodness. Doubtless will have the usual Pre surgical meltdown on Monday, it would be rude not to for 3rd surgery!
hope you are ok too
thank you xx
Hello ksissy - it is good news, I’m very relieved as we all know how awful that waiting is. Monday will soon be over and then I will soon know the treatment plan and can crack on. Those early weeks and waiting are the worst. I hope you are okay too? Much love xx
Hi Squeaky, glad you are all done and sorted with extra stitches and antiobiotics. Onwards and upwards now. Do as you’re told and recover gently! Xx

. Am I safe to be here now ! Feel queasy thinking about your stitches divorcing !
I walked to seafront today - OMG so so cold ! Lasted 5 minutes snd I was seriously dressed for weather ! We decided to cross roads and go into the woods. We were walking on old railway bridge and found steps down to go under it! Lived here 25 years snd 10 minute walk away and never seen them before .
Night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe....

Great news on liver etc sending positive healing vibes and wishing you all the very best for Monday.
I’m back to feeling normal again from day 9 (bunged up for 7 days ) and very thankful cycle 1 was reasonably gentle and manageable with meds.
Hope you’re feeling better today now your safely stitched together again, be kind to yourself and be pampered.
Love the pic Northerner very familiar pose so glad I’m now at the ‘can sleep on my side stage’ again, took a while though so don’t expect miracles those of you just through/about to go through ops.
I’m sure I’ve missed some info/appointments/updates, but hope all issues/concerns are heading in right direction I’ve posted twice and it disappeared!
Wishing you all peace and calm in the storm...with a helping of laughter and joy to bring healing ️
Morning all! (Much too early morning really)
I'm finally up to popping in again, having had a bit of a torrid time over the last few weeks. Mid cycle 5 of chemo I reached absolutely rock bottom and just felt I couldn’t carry on with any more chemo. Tummy problems very bad again, even though they said EC wouldn’t upset bowels. My body didn’t take any notice of that. Back on industrial amounts of loperamide and double layer disposable pants. Blood tests showed red cell level had plummeted which was why I was feeling so weak and exhausted. I was persuaded that with a blood transfusion and a 20% dose reduction I would be fine with the next cycle. But there were no appointments for blood transfusion before next chemo. I said ok it’ll be fine with the 20% reduction . I spent the weekend mostly in tears, thinking I just can’t do any more, but managed to get myself to appointment on Tuesday. As always, I asked about the dose they were giving me, and it turned out it wasn’t 20% reduction, but 10%, which didn’t sound like the significant reduction I had been promised. I had a complete meltdown. Embarrassing in a room full of people all calmly getting on with their infusions. A doctor was called, he was pleasant, sympathetic, but said he couldn’t change anything because another doctor had written it up. No one on my team was able to be contacted. He said I could refuse to have it, but I knew if I walked out of the unit then, I wouldn’t have had the courage to go back. So I went ahead. I also asked how long the waiting list is for blood transfusion. No one would say. I think probably weeks rather than days. So I am just trying to keep going as best as possible, calling in favours from neighbours to help out where possible within the lockdown restrictions. Sorry that’s a very long rant.
ive tried to have a quick catch up with other posts. Those recovering from surgery take it all very slowly. Gentle hugs coming in your direction. Those on chemo, don’t be put off by my story. Most people seem to breeze through chemo much more easily than me!
Good to be back in the Loop, and wishing you all well,
Judith
