Hi Ricecrispie
You have got this girl!! We are all rooting for you. Xx

Hi GodWilling, I was just awake! Like I am now. It’s very common for me to wake up for half an hour or so throughout the night. I do my best to stay off of my iPad/phone, but sometimes a few minutes of using them helps me to feel sleepy again and then I can drop off. Otherwise I do start to overthink things!
My sister went to work yesterday and seemed much brighter (via text) but she did say she had a couple of Wobbles during the day, so obviously it’s not over yet!! I just want her to be back to her normal Happy and Bubbly self and I’m sure when all this is over she will. But it’s really scary seeing her as she was the other day and I NEVER want to see either of my sisters like that again!
Hope you aren’t struggling with anything? As you are up late too!! Fingers crossed you are now sleeping soundly! Sweet Dreams Special Lady. Sal xxxx
Ricecrispie. Good luck ! Hope all goes well .
I woke early this morning and went downstairs for a cuppa. Opened my living room curtains and saw fire opposite. Bin day today and our neighbours bin well alight ,good waste bin half melted. My hubby put hose pipe on it . My neighbour quite shook up as her hedge in danger of catching fire. Then noticed one further down the road alight and a motorist told us there were more further up the road so had to call fire service ! Someone clearly bored!!!
My sister was due surgery yesterday and was gowned , signed consent when the lab report came back to say water. Infection too severe so cancelled. She takes low dose antibiotics permanently for water infection. She was very stressed as the surgery normally done by general was being done by local for first time . So now she has to wait a month and on their words "they'll try again" .
LondonLass . My daughter has a chronic anxiety disorder (OCD which isn't about being tidy but constant intrusive thoughts triggering anxiety & panic attacks). Can I just say constantly asking if she's ok or feeling better can put her under pressure to feel better. We've talked a lot about how best to offer support . She's explained that she knows people think she can "get over it" and "it passes" but she said it's constant bubbling under surface and when someone says "you feeling better" can trigger the negative feelings. So what I'm saying is your sister knows yiu are there for her and she can call on you for support but try not to over ask if she's feeling better. It's going to take a while . While for her working might help it might also be ste meeds to take some time off. Telling her it's ok to take time off work due to her mental health might help as people can feel because it's not physical it's not a valid reason to go sick. Hope you've managed to get more sleep x
Thank you for your kind words! I will be thinking of you. Hope everything goes well! Sending healing hugs xx
Morning FruitLoops.
Can I ask did anyone have a hot burning sensation on their scalp? I know the chemo affects the hairs growing cycle and despite cold cap some hairs will go into the shedding stage and fall out...how many I will have to wait and see. I didn’t really think about how it would affect my head so wondered if anyone has any advice on stinging/ burning on scalp?
Pleased to report situation now resolved after 7 days being bunged up. That was worse than the chemo!
Energy levels better yesterday and managed a decent walk with my daughter rather than a 20 min toddle.
wishing everyone the best day possible
hugs

Wishing you all peace and calm in the storm...with a helping of laughter and joy to bring healing ️
@Dclem4
Hi Denise I along with others experienced a painful scalp just before hair shedding . Very uncomfortable one day because the Cumbrian breeze was moving hair follicles ...ouch had to put hat on .If I remember it would occur around days 14/15
Glad the other problem solved for now
Thankyou, was thinking week 2/3 I would begin to notice shedding. Does the burning stop once hair falls out or is ‘hot head’ just a chemo thing?
Wishing you all peace and calm in the storm...with a helping of laughter and joy to bring healing ️
