Night LondonLass I think the only issue will be when they reach an age to make a choice. Strangely she never tried beef, not even a MacDonalds beef burger, till almost 18 as I told it why I wouldn't eat it!! Burgers crap meat and steak urgh full of blood. She tried once and never again. Went vegan for a month at age 19 and here we are 6 years later still vegan. She has educated me on animal products in wine - now I buy vegan wine. Plus cosmetics/toilteries I now buy vegan & cruetlty free products only. One thing I do find great is this app https://www.happycow.net/
It recommends restaurants world wide that have Vegan options. I went to Rome with my daughter for a week and we used it and we found a couple of amazing restaruants that were not expensive and had good, freshly cooked food. One of them we went to twice as loved so much and it was only small in a side street but packed out. Talking to the owner's daughter she was asking how we found the restaurant and daughter said through App and she said she'd had a visit from App people and said that you only get on the App after a mystery visit, you can't apply or pay to be on it. We loved it there so much on our second visit when I had he bill it was 33 euros which I thought was too cheap as we had main, dessert, fruit juice and 3/4 bottle of wine! When I looked we hadn't been charged for desserts and when I told her bill wrong!! If I had disliked restauant I would have kept quiet if I'm honest!!
Tad darrrrrrr
I'm here to hahahahaha
I'm not a meat eater, well, not a big meat eater and you say the name of it - then that's it I can't eat it. This is my problem I'm not a meat eater and I don't like vegetables, apart from potatoes and carrots!! Fruit doesn't go well with me, so I avoid most, other than apples and bananas....
So my food of choice is crisps, crisps, crisps, biscuits and crisps, pasta, rice, toast, sandwich of crisps, and more toast - hence the high blood sugar readings. I am not diabetic, although, if I was to go to the doctors I know I would be, I have taken my own readings the past few months and the are ranking from 9.00 through to 17 (I think that was the highest).... this gave me the kick I need, but, they are still high, I am trying hard to cut down, I have not eaten bread in the last 3 days. I'm having the rivets type crisp bread with a vegan sliced cheese on it - nice. At present Ikeep snaking on peanuts.... but I shouldn't have these as I have diverticular disease - its all rubbish.
I would like to try making smoothies - but, silly as this sounds because I don't like vegetables I am unsure what I would add and what needs cooking etc. my trouble is as well, I am funny with 'textures' when eating, I could drink the mixture.... might be drinking like its some kind of poison, but, I could do it, I'm sure. I am no good at cooking, so reach for junk food - help!!
Hoping your all fast asleep now - I woke up covered in dust - I reckon it was Margaret
xxxx
I voted this down - not your post, that the fact this silly upgraded site is at best a downgrade and I don't like it arrrghhh
and looking at this reply, it will mean nothing as my reply isn't going under the post I am replying to......
Grogg I was replying to your post about me saying click on page numbers and you replied 'you don't get page numbers on mobile' ..... so I clicked - minus sign to say I didn't like it
I make lots of smoothies and used to juice a lot too. Some juices (if they had veg with the fruit) were awful and we all used to pinch our noises and drink as fast as possible. If you make small portions of fruit smoothies you might be able to drink it fast enough so you don't notice the flavour. My weakness is sugar - sweets and chocolates. I did the intermittent diet recently and it really helped me to reduce my sugar and carb cravings. It was murder at the start though but then it was fine - was really shocked as I've never stuck to a diet for more than a day if that.
ahhhhh butter I forgot about butter could never give that up. All this talk of food has made me hungry so I'm eating cake and drinking coconut milk. Figured I'd make myself feel less guilty by having a healthy drink.
Hope you've gone to bed LondonLass. It's busy on here tonight I can see there are 3 members on here still hope you are not one of them. Night night. Really need to force myself into bed soon.
Thank you GodWilling, because of how rubbish my diet has been for years and that I need to loose weight and I am so unfit - I would willing 'drink' the drink.... holding nose - anything just to get some goodness inside me. This sounds sad and silly in not knowing what can and can't be juiced or smoothed.
I love chocolate and sweets, I had just found on sale some toffees, called banana toffees - I so loved them as a child so was munching thought bags at a time. Now this as all stopped at the moment.
Butter I have heard is good for you, its a good fat. I am trying to take this in, if I am remembering it right....
Sugar turns to fat in the body, so sweets etc turn to fat. Now butter is 'already a fat'. I can't remember it now.....
Meaning if you eat sweets, they are sugar and will turn into fat and butter is fat, not sugar, so won't turn into fat as it is fat and I think will come back out the body as opposite to being newly stored ...
owww she sells seashells on the sea shore would be far more easier xxxxx
owww and I now have Almond milk in my tea - I have got used to this.
