  • Shirl3, sorry to hear you are still in hospital! I hope they can get you sorted soon. In the meantime remember we are all still here for you..........

Just rest Hun and hopefully you will be back home soon xxxxx

  • So, I'm doing a 3 person job on my own this week. Going to be a looooong week.

I had a telephone counselling appointment at lunch time, to decide what type of treatment would be best for me. I am now on the waiting list for a counsellor.

They asked whether I had a safety net in the meanwhile, family or friends I could talk to. Well, it was you lovely ladies on here I was thinking of when I said yes, I did!!

    Hugs xx

  • Hey LL, Coo-eeeee,

I am sorry but I know you won't mind. I borrowed lucky pants today, without asking.

He is ok, I tried not to squash him. He is coming back now to try to make you smile.I am sorry you are feeling crap. I have shown Lucky how to give a good cwtch so he is on his way to you...

I saw my onc today and he has said he can sign me off! I will see him once in March, hopefully after my op but that is it.

Hi Optimistic!  Hope you don’t mind me asking whether your primary was only in nodes only or whether it was in the breast as well. Mine was in lymph nodes only under my arm but was never told size. Had an axillary clearance which showed 5 out of 11 nodes positive. After the biopsy of the enlarged node which had shown up my consultant did say a little cancer had been found in it but my sceptical mind wonders if she was just gently breaking the fact I had cancer and trying not to worry me too much by saying little. Had my first chemo last Wednesday and ended up in A&E with a raised temp but all tests were fine and I was allowed to go. At my advancement age ( in my 70’s ) at the moment I don’t feel like continuing chemo. I have radiotherapy and Letrozole also to have as part of the plan. Think I’ll be joining the Night Owls group as I haven’t slept for the last three nights. Sorry ranting on and barging in to your discussion.

Should have said ended up in A&E today.

  • Well, I have looked round some houses but nothing definite.

After hospital appointment I went to get a tire changed on my car. £35 new tire, but then he told me I needed a new flange. Wasn't quite sure what on earth a flange was but it didn't sound very pleasant. Quoted £400 at dealers, will now have to shop around. :(

But just so pleased at seeing onc, nothing was dampening my feelings. Not even my daughter breaking her phone today.
