.
Hi LondonLass,
I think all of us have to manage the risk in the way that makes us feel comfortable and hopefully avoid the covidiots if we possibly can.We are planning a trip to our canal boat next week but will be taking all our food with us delivered the night before by mr tesco and wiped as usual with bleach solution. We know the area we are travelling to well and plan to stay in secluded spots. Hubby is very good at coughing loudly should anyone come too near - apparently this has deterred those who look to come too close when he is out walking!!
As to your visit with your friend go out and enjoy her company but wear a mask in the car which is a closed space. She will be very aware of the possible dangers and won't put you or your parents at risk . xxxx
Same regulations Kwissy what I've done this time is placed some net curtain behind main ceiling vent .
some hanging down so can see to remove when we arrive back also replaced batteries in carbon monoxide alarm although I don't believe vent is blocked .also fly sprayed ourselves out
We took all our food with us so didn't shop whilst there and I haven't left a supply of clothing like I usually would . We will use Lowther quite a bit as the parklands are vast and as we are historic house members get into restored formal gardens free . Also like yourselves we know where the secluded places are. I also go online to look at live local cctv and can check out if towns are busy it's really useful .
We have an automated drain down system so push a button for water to drain and if we forget after 12 hours of no movement it drains . Think my mind will remain in expectation of further shutdowns so will use the van whenever we can .
Enjoy hope not too many flies

Hi all, not on this thread much but just wanted to pop on to say....
you’re just amazing and I’m furious all over again at your treatment (or lack of). I hope things get resolved for you next week, you must feel like they’ve abandoned you now it’s the weekend. Shocking doesn’t even touch it.
LondonLass, agree with you how difficult it can be to find common ground with people re your approach to risks atm. The ‘rules’ are becoming more complicated and harder to interpret, as well as easier to misinterpret! And one person’s perception of acceptable risk may be very different from another’s. I feel we just have to go with what we feel at a particular time and be prepared to say no if we feel we’re not comfortable. I’ve stuck for now with walking or meeting up with one person at a time as that’s all I feel comfortable with. The only exceptions have been my parents in law. All my meetings with friends are outside. I know others who are doing more but I’ve stuck with what I feel is right for me. We have a takeaway most weeks at home but aren’t yet even considering eating in a restaurant. I’ve been wearing a mask whenever I shop for weeks now (and of course my favourite by far is your wonderful LP design!) but have a few friends who haven’t even got one yet.
I’ve borrowed ’s post from Thpught for the Day as it seems spot on:
Night night fruit loops, sleep well and stay safe.....
sleepy fairy dust a-plenty, just help yourself if you wish

LondonLass I am very wary if loosening the lockdown for myself. Being very careful. Dilemma, son and grandson coming to collect our old dishwasher. (they live near Malton Yorks). Risk, my granddaughter is a pice officer snd regularly wrestles down and cuffs scallies in Leeds town centre. Solution, they get the dishwasher from the garage,? and come through the house to the garden, having sanitised and we
ing masks. We have no garden furniture st the mo, so it will be dining room chairs and butties. Can’t go out fir a walk/picnic cos I need the loo every 30 mins and won’t go i to public toilets. Have
t seen them since xmas
Risk is probably low bur feeling twitchy xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Welcome , sorry no one has given you any help yet, but I am sure they will, have you got a breast care nurse you can ring, she may be able to point you in the right direction. Please stay in touch we are very friendly on this thread, and as you may guess a bit loopy, but someone is always around and we don’t mind if you rant, cry or just laugh with us, hope you get sorted xxx
Stay Safe everyone, Love and hugs Jenny xxx

Hi seaspirit44
Awful isn't it trying to preempt a bloody invisible virus . Our hairdresser put plastic overshoes on today even though she didn't go into our house .
one thing I did do when we had to have plumber in was asked him to spray his shoes . He was happy to do this .i use a dettol aerosol spray kills 99.9% if you believe blurb ..that's germs not plumbers .
I also use it to keep my porch area clean for deliveries . Anyway just a thought something like that for your visitors might let you feel more comfortable . Paper cups plates and plastic cutlery can be useful throwaways as well .
Anything that makes you feel comfortable so you can Enjoy their visit
