  • nothing is good !  Everyone should do it now and then !  We need to be kind to ourselves!

My day started with a bag !  Literally house across road having an extension and at 8am the very loud banking woke me !  Then at 8.30 I said to my hubby he could make me egg on toast for breakfast !  He never cooks.   I did the ironing and at 10.39 he asked why I was moody and I said I'm hungry !  He took hint and he made me egg on toast.  Then neighbour turned up with 3 bags of jam!  They think I'm involved in Foodbank as I promote it to neighbour WhatsApp group!  They don't open till Tuesday so I now have jam and a bag of toothpaste in my hall till then !  Earlier this week I had another contribution from neighbours.  My hubby and daughter think it's hysterical and while I was out talking to the neighbours they put signs in front window saying Foodbank !!!  I'm also known as bag lady as council deliver me recycling bags that I put out daily in my garden wall for people to help themselves to.

Also this morning DD realised she'd run out of pill - she has ocd so often takes back to back to avoid periods so needed !   So she rang and got emergency script which I collected as she's working from home.  No queue at chemist I was first but then third man turns up coughing disgustingly - not your polite tickle !   So when I went into to pharmacy I warned staff and she said thanks and when no 2 in queue left she'd go to door with him so coughing man couldn't come in and he would be served at door!

Then I went to Sainsburys to get food and cane home cooked and sat down for 90 minutes with a foot peel mask on my feet!  Shared a can of Stella with hubby and now I'm in bed !  I just can't seem to watch tv now and I loathe the news.

I am determined to read a book so that's my weekend plan !!!

    night xx

  • Looking gorgeous there xxxx

that is all I have been doing when not at work. Messing about in the garden....with guinea pigs!

it is a right carry on this testing lark. We tested all staff and patients over a three day period last week. We did really well only 2 positive and they were negative a few days later. You get the result in a text, mine took 36 hours...Yay I was negative Slight smile It was a good feeling to feel disease free and the home to be clear. I hope your husband's home is clear. We are letting visitors ring up and make an appointment for a social distance meeting in the garden. xxx

  • Oh yes you know since lockdown we don't know what day it is well my hubby rang motorbike insurers about policy renewal - he still has one bike but trying to sell-

& he said he wasn't happy about price and what was this add on as his bike is SORN because he's not able to ride anymore since his accident etc. She said there is no extra add on and he's ' I have the renewal in front of me dated May 2019'. Oops Grimacing

  • , what a shambles! The poor staff snd residents. I do remember your saying that the manager refused hosp cases, and does all she can to protect the residents, so your husband is safe. Awful that you cannot visit him, but essential precaution.

And that pic-is very appropriate. I despair of this government. There willbe a second wave and our lockdown will go on for a very long time ( vulnerable I mean) I’m very angry too RageRage️RageI feel we are expendable RageRageRagexxxxxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

    Hi, all.

    Looking good, .

, I hope your bruising is less painful now. Try not to do it again!

I'm back in hotel NHS, (Royal Marsden as usual) & since one of my symptoms is breathlessness, current rules require the hospital to treat me as a suspected covid-19 case. Never mind that the mystery illness predates the virus, and that I clearly have the same problem as before. Until my covid swab test comes back negative, I m being housed on a covid ward.

It's eerie. I haven't as much as glimpsed another patient. We keep to our individual rooms, doors are always kept closed, and only the hospital staff move about the corridors. Patients use wooden cutlery & paper plates & cups. Hot food arrives in cardboard boxes, & is eaten straight from the box. And you just throw it all in your bin afterwards. When I've been for scans and x-rays, I've been scheduled at the end of the day, and everything is deep cleaned after me.

At least I don't have to ring a bell & shout "unclean".
