Enjoyable afternoon hadn't seen her since just before my diagnosis .Been busy setting up home and in new job in London .Her mam been going down to visit rather than her coming up .
Hair is family trait so we tend to take it for granted mine was same when younger think it comes from Celtic background lol
With her Mam
Hope you feeling well today

Awww how lovely so pleased you had an enjoyable afternoon. Lovely pic! Yeah we have to adapt to the changes that happen don’t we... my two daughters are only about 40-45 minutes away but we kinda create an inverted triangle with where we live... I’m at the point at the bottom, the youngest is top left & eldest top right... it can be tricky trying to get together without a fortune being spent on petrol between us all! It’s not a million miles but it all adds up! On Christmas morning my eldest travelled the 45 minutes from her place to mine & then the 40 minutes from mine to my younger daughter... if she had gone direct it would have only been 40 minutes! But I wasn’t driving & the younger daughter was cooking us Christmas dinner so she was happy to do the driving for me which I did of course really appreciate
Well, they both have gorgeous hair! Definitely shouldn’t be taken for granted! There’s always been just a hint of red in mine but these days it has to come from a tube courtesy of my hairdresser lol! Far too much natural grey for my liking these days!
I’m it too bad today thank you... all things considered... I got up late & then my sister came over & helped me clear up my kitchen... I have a nineteen year old son who trashes the joint & then doesn’t clear up after himself!!! It’s not as though he hasn’t been taught how (!!!) more that aside from when he’s at work, he’s 19, male & very disrespectfully lazy!!! Makes my blood boil but I don’t have the energy or fight in me to crack down at the moment! There is definitely a lovely young man in there somewhere which I’m convinced will come out eventually so I’m just trying to ride the wave for the time being! I have a friend coming over tomorrow... she’s bringing her cross stitch over to do while she keeps me company & if I can manage to engage my brain I’m going to make my daughters evening wedding invitations... I’ve already made the ‘save the dates’ & the daytime invites... evening ones next & then ‘place names’ & ‘Order of Service’ still to do! Plenty to keep me busy! If only I can motivate myself! I’m a people person so I always prefer to have company no matter what I’m doing... not liking this being home alone business very much! The other thing I’m doing is drying petals for her confetti... I’ve got loads of hydrangea heads from the garden that I’m picking off each petal individually... very time consuming & being a perfectionist means I can’t just pull them off without paying the utmost attention & making sure they’re as perfect as possible! All so people can chuck them in the air & walk all over them lol!!!
Hmmm...just tried adding a couple of photos but there’s just a couple of small white boxes instead of photos! I will try posting & if they don’t load I will try again!
Oh lol now there appears to be two pics of the petals but not the save the date! Even more weird! There was only one showing initially lol!
This was the other one! Photo doesn’t do the pink justice! Also, it is square but it’s a little curled so looks like I can’t cut straight lol! I can honest!
They look brilliant Nanny Dooie your a very talented lady . Lovely that you have the wedding to look forward to .
Love the petals
When you are posting pics if you get the little empty box treat it as a pic it will post as photo ....a bit weird but it works .
I'm off to bed now The newly engaged couple are saving pennies so want a home made buffet .
So im in kitchen tomorrow ..egg&bacon pie plus cornbeef & potato pies . Also homemade coleslaw & Florida salad . Have to time it so I can still have a rest before going to party .
Still can tire easily need to build stamina back up .

- my lymphoedema nurse told me that knitting is good for the arm and hand as it keeps it mobile! Weibla rd how different teams give different advice...
I'm not stopping anyway as I have SOOOO much wool to try and use up! I've just contributed to a world record attempt at the longest knitted bunting at the Devon County Show in May (thanks LondonLass ) for the link! After the show, the bunting will be made into blankets I think and auctioned for charity...
I've got lots of charity knitting links - almost too many as I can never make a choice which one to go for first!!!
I have no specific plans for the weekend except for maybe planning a couple of weekends away. The nurse didn't bring any stitch cutters today and so I've now got to wait to them to come tomorrow or Sunday! She insisted that she didn't know they needed doing, despite the fact that it was her who came last time and she wrote it down!!! Still, she was very stressed so I didn't like to point that out!!!
Might try and give the scooter a run sometime - the weather has not really been conducive to a ride out this week!
Happy weekend everyone
Bonny lasses Northerner .. have a Fab weekend
Nanny Dooie .. lovely things to be doing
Hope you get out and about sometime soon ... depending on the weather of course.
hope everyone has as good a weekend as possible
hugs xx
“ The only constant thing in life is change “
Weeblemum, you are right ! Different teams give different advice ! Lymphodema nurse said 20 minutes knitting / sewing / typing at a time maximum , and an hours rest after ,with arm raised on pillow ......difficult to do on the bus !! I am a rebel and as my terminal friend says “ if we don’t tell them what we are doing , they won’t worry “ she has lived two and a half years since she was given 6 weeks to live , so I think she is right ! It seems to work!.....
best wishes. Me
