AWAKE.........

Morning all. Well my GP appointment was about as useful as I expected it to be! He wasn’t sure what’s causing the Diarrhoea so wants to check for infections!!! Sadly there’s only one way to do that and it involves 3 little plastic containers with little scoops inside YUK!!!!
Once I have collected the ‘evidence’ for testing, we go from there! He said if it’s not an infection then they will have to investigate further and with ‘my’ history that would mean ruling out worst case scenario first!! But he clearly wasn’t that concerned as he said go and make the next available appointment with my own GP! Well that’s not till the 3rd Feb.....I seriously hope this is sorted before then!!

Hi LondonLass, the joy of the mini pooper scoopers! When you get to the fine old age of 60, as part of the birthday celebrations you get a little pack in the post for collecting and sending off a ‘sample’. So u’ll be an expert after having to provide 3! Like you I have a dog so have picked up lots of poo, and of course you’ll have dealt with plenty with your nannying, but it’s somehow very different wh it’s your very own! If I was on my laptop I’d find an appropriate image but no good on my phone. Reassuring that GP clearly not rushing stuff through, I think there are lots of bugs that can causdiarrhoea so hopefully they can do something about it soon!! why they’re everywhere now I don’t know ‍♀️

Hi LondonLass just to show solidarity I'm exactly the same well similar saw dietician last week who terrified me mentioning pancreas. I also have sample to do she was so unhelpful I'm stressing about handing it in at doctors reception i haven't done it yet  Mine is for on Going symptoms of celiac even though on gluten free diet  I've been on diet 9 month now and I'm hoping insides need longer to heal after years of going undiagnosed or it's also IBS on top of celiac.  She really upset me said symptoms sounding like something else even though these symptoms I've had for years and what led me to celiac diagnosis in the first place..  I told her I've had so many scans due to BC and she said she thinks anything serious would have been picked up . I also had colonoscopy and endoscopy last year. Anyone know if endoscopy would show the pancreas? She was so unhelpful and wouldn't answer anything and could see i was worried. In tears last night as struggling with symptoms. Sending you hugs xxx

Hmmmm, pooo talk? I did my sample about 6 months back and it looks like I have to phone the free number for the next as I’ll be too old! Oh the penalties of age! By the time you realise you’ve forgotten when, you can’t remember what it was for anyway! (Hope you can make sense of that?!?!?) 

to change the subject totally, I had been given a ‘grow your own’ mushroom kit (pic on my thread) and i made a fab risotto from them plus a bit of this and that....it was yummy!

Hello everyone my boyfriend got one of those poopascoopa things when he was 60.

He was so insulted he was going to send some of the cats poop ooh  naughty had to restrain him. They would have sent him a prescription for worming tablets !!!
