Hi
With chemo it's often a combination of 'stuff' that causes an insomnia perfect storm
Being about early am makes you more tired in the afternoon and it all goes downhill from there :-/
Stress and/or Worry is the main reason coupled with chemo (and other anti-cancer meds) making you fatigued so not as active during the day, maybe having a nana nap, steroids, regular meal times go out the window along with your circadian (body clock) rhythm. Because Docetaxel takes a few days before getting into your system you tend to come out of the chemo fog a little later too - around days 10-12
There isn't one answer you just have to figure out what helps you be that some form of light exercise etc, is search of the holy grail of a good nights sleep
J was given Amitriptypline to help with joint aches while on Letrozole and slept like a baby all night have no idea if you are allowed this during chemo though ?
G n' J
Hope you slept well LondonLass.
Big hugs to xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Morning all!
had a reasonable night in spite of some reflux, think I’m swallowing air too much? Don’t know why! I have problems as I can’t burp....
today it’s drop hubs at the Bombe and off to lunchtime choir, part of the loop road round the OU is flooded so parking might be tricky! Ah well, these things are sent to try us! Then back to pick up hubs. Perhaps we are in need of a second vehicle?!

sorry to hear you are still in Hotel NHS they clearly think you are ‘Special’! Now what can we do to get you out? I’ve called in a few people to help so hopefully it won’t be long before they get to you and get you out.......
OKAY this may take a while! I hope you have a good book!!
I hope if nothing else that made you smile, even if it was just a little smile. TRY and relax, get friends and family to bring some magazines or puzzle books for you to enjoy! Or maybe a bit of knitting? Before long you’ll be a knitting marvel like .
I hope you are released soon Hun. Sending positive vibes your way. Remember we are always here to pass the time! Assuming you have good internet access!
moomy how the heck does a FRUIT LOOP forget the ‘dried peel’...... I imagine you were too busy buying the extra ‘fairy dust’ to help us all sleep! It’s been working great for me, except it seems to start working at around 8pm!!
Well I am now on week 3 actually I suppose I’m actually at the start of week 4 of the dreaded “RUNS” and they seem to be showing no signs of stopping
I won’t tell you who burst into tears at her acupuncture session today
You know that feeling when you just can’t deal with anymore! However after putting it off and putting it off, because I THOUGHT it would sort itself out. I have a GP appointment on Saturday morning! I hope they can do something! Because it’s driving me nuts!!
Night night Fruit Loops, love you xxxxxx
