Oh no! Sad to hear that you've become a resident of Hotel NHS again, but you're in the right place to deal with whatever is going on. I know it's really tempting to try and carry on as normal when you're not feeling too bad, but you really do need to look after yourself as this is not an easy ride without the complication of dealing with sick little ones, let alone looking after them yourself. As you haven't been well for a bit now, you really need to try and haul in favours or ask for help from friends, neighbours, relatives as well as your OH to ensure that you can keep as well as possible thoughout the treatment so that you can be there for the girls when you are through it and feel a bit better.

Hope you're doing okay this morning and that you have enjoyed the hospital food as we all do when we're guests of the NHS! I spent two nights in a couple of weeks ago with a severe nosebleed and becuase they packed my nose, I couldn't taste anything! It was probably the best food I've had in hospital!!! Joy

Look after yourself, and massive hugs to you and your family

    Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your lovely messages and support. I am doing ok... but still here and likely to be for a while, as they want to try to push ahead with the 2nd chemo under observation. But I am being well looked after!

Husband has just made highly complex arrangements for childcare (I can't even try to follow!!) and is taking the week off, so I am a bit calmer about everything being taken care of. I'm probably a bit of a control freak, but he is actually more than capable of managing everything when left to his own devices!

I hope everyone is going ok... all best to those coping with SEs, waiting for treatment, results, etc .. thinking of you! And make sure you are getting plenty rest even if you are a nocturnal fruit loop!

  • Hi Jess,

I popped this advice on the other group but will repeat it here; LOTS of water! It helps!

Hi everyone I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday trying to get the washing up together! Is anyone else struggling with balancing work and keeping a sane mind? Diagnosed on 17th October and still waiting for results but struggling with concentration at work and juggling everything else how do all manage?

  • Hi firstly may I say.......

To the mad house! Where you will find a large group of Fruit Loops, who are always here to listen day or night!

May I hopefully reassure you by saying we have ALL been where you are. Waiting for results. It's just the hardest time. However hard you try not to think about it it's always there! So how can I make it better? Honestly Hun I can't no one can. All I can say is that worrying won't change anything so TRY not to over think things! Try to keep your head in the here and now!

What I can say is once all the results are in they will have a treatment plan and you will then feel a little more in control.

Whatever news these results bring you will cope and you will have us supporting you every step of the way. Try to think of things day by day, sometimes hour by hour. It might sound silly, but if you start looking at what lies ahead in one big picture it will seem overwhelming. But slowly piece by piece you will get through the coming months and we will help you all we can.

So carry on doing what you are doing. It's all perfectly normal. But if you feel you need a break from work or something to calm you down, then have a chat with your gp!

Sending Lots of Love your way, hope that helped a little. Sal xxxxx

  • Sleep well, everyone! Sending fairy sleepy dust , a sprinkle for me too, not needed for Stanley-dog, typical man, off to sleep the moment his head hits the pillow (or in his case, the moment he curls up in his comfy bed!)

Hoping for a good week for all facing tests, appointments, scans, treatments etc.....

    Hugs xxx
