  • Hi , sorry to hear you ended up in hospital BUT definitely the best place for you to be! As for what you could of done re avoiding your daughters illnes.....well attempting too.....your husband should/could of stepped up! I don’t want to sound cruel or too blunt, so please don’t take it that way! But you are not well Hun and the treatment you are having is serious stuff! We aren’t talking about taking a few tablets and all is well, we are talking about drugs that kill good and bad cells! Your body can’t deal with extra bugs on top! Now I worked with children throughout my treatment and my dad boss was around his children throughout his treatment, bugs can’t be avoided......but......when they are sick like that you need to keep your distance, obviously you can’t ignore them but spending as little time as possible with them will help! Their Dad could of covered the night you should of been resting! Even if he had to be at work the next day, he can take time off or he can be tired for the day! This is your health my friend, you only get one shot at this! For the coming months YOU have to be the important one, however much that goes against what you want! This isn’t your fault hun! But if you want to give yourself the best chance of being around for your girls, you need to look after you!!

The masks someone else mentioned are a good idea! Plus hand sanitizer everywhere! Children are germ ridden mites so give their hands a squirt every time there is an opportunity! Get a yummy smelling one and they’ll love using it!

Is there any chance of you calling in favours of friends, relatives or even nursery staff helping out a bit more? Anything to give you time to recooperate without having to worry about your girls! I can only imagine how hard this must be when I am sure you want to spend every second with your girls! But if you can be sensible now, especially when they are visibly ill it’ll make the treatment go faster and hopefully get you back to full strength quicker!!

Now to say, if I could reach through the screen now I would give you the biggest hug! I know you must be terrified. But you can do this Hun, it’s going to be a long crappy time for a while. But YOU CAN DO THIS! I believe in you and we are all here to listen!

Hope you can get some sleep! Close your eyes and think of happy times! Sweet Dreams Hun xxxxxx

  • Well said

  • , so sorry you ended up in hotel NHS, but glad you are feeling better Big hugs xxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Must agree! Perhaps a little early for a sing song! But wanted to say.......

Just in case anyone else was awake at this time! I hope you had a comfortable night and that you managed some sleep! Sending you gentle hugs! Xxx

pleased to hear you are getting a bit stronger each day. Of course LP will join you next week! Xxx

so very pleased to read that you made it to see Dracula and without any drama’s this time! Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday xxx

Wishing everyone lots of Love and Hugs! It’s great to see the Fruit Loops continuing to support each other. I am struggling a bit with fatigue at the moment so don’t come on as much as I used too! I do try to post as often as I can, but I at least feel relaxed in the knowledge that when I am too wiped out to come on there are plenty of Fruit Loops to fill the void! So Thanks xxxxx

Okay so maybe I should try and get a bit more sleep! Catch you all later. Sal xxxx

  • Good morning all.......

What a dreadful night weather wise.......Hope you're all ok. I think the winds were gusting in the south and west but I also see that our Scottish friends have had it very strong too. As the weather pattern is a swirl.....those around Aberdeen have the top of the swirl and the bottom is here coming off Biscay at Bordeaux.....Wow...is it strong and my poor son is outside again in his rocking camping car! I offered him a bedroom but he doesn't  want to get too warm in doors as he's off on his travels in the van when he leaves us. I wonder if he'll change his mind tonight?

I hope everyone is feeling better in themselves today......

Seaspirit, Weeblemum, Puzzler, Granylara....have a comfortable day.

Londonlass.....keep resting if you need it. It will do you good in the long term.

Yanyan, Guiliella, Northerner, Londonmumof2....( and others in the throes of chemo)....hope your sickness is starting to abate. I am one person who can  really empathise with you. I know it can come and go......Hope today is a ' gone' day.

Moomy.....take care walking your visitor in this awful weather.

Love to all. I have a busy day ahead starting with my new list of pills....
