Oh and just one last thing reminded me of it! WHY on earth do people use the expression ‘Chin Up’ after you have told them what a crap time you are having?? SERIOUSLY............
I wasn’t able to do a bloody Chin Up before my Cancer, I certainly have no chance of doing it now!! So why must they keep on about it!! Hee hee!!!
Any other STUPID things people say when they don’t know what to say, that anyone would like to share?! Xxxx
Hi Sal,
This made me laugh, I never managed a `chin up` either!
I realised last night she has contacted me 4 times since Christmas. I have done all the texting, e-mails & left messages on her phone, maybe time to ease off.
I have seen her one time when she was in respite over Christmas as my daughter took me, then she asked if she could come to me for a day & her sister brought her over. She had her hip replaced four weeks prior to this , so I made sure her chair was the right height etc.
Then nothing.
I am fine with it now. Just so glad of this site where everyone has a weird friend or two!
We are all normal?! x
Hugs back to all the Fruitloops,
Scilly x
Very wise words Sal, LondonLass, that’s why we all support each other.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, shame the weather isn’t so warm.
i have spent part of today supporting my 7yr old granddaughter doing a 12hr sponsored bounce for her trampoline club, I was exhausted watching her. She has just over an hour to go and she is done. Good job no school tomorrow. Don’t think I ever had that much energy.
I could never do chin ups either. I hate it when you a feeling crap and you meet someone and they say goodness me you are looking so well, you would never know you had cancer.
Hope everyone has a lovely day tomorrow.
Hi LondonLass yes I was asked how I was and I said as far as I knew it was treated and gone which I got an Oh Good but then as the lady turned away she came back and stupidly asked me So exactly how gone is it ? Hmm xx

Hi everyone
Sorry to hear some of us have been having a tough time. I think this wretched disease never quite leaves us. There will always be down days, when life just doesn't make sense. But here we all understand this, so it's safe to be ourselves. I hope that the down days get further apart over time though. They are bl00dy awful!!!
I managed a good shoot yesterday. In spite of forgetting to shoot an arrow (I was helping a new archer, and wasn't paying attention), I obliterated the county record for the round we shot. Next stop County Champs on 19th.
OK, I have a big ask. I'm shooting in the UK Masters on 1/2 June in Telford. And I was wondering whether anyone within about an hour of that could possibly, maybe, pretty please, help me out with a bed for 2 nights? Friday & Saturday. Someone did offer a while ago, I think it was ? but she doesn't seem to be around at the moment.
Today we went out on 2 wheels, and met up with some mates at Loomies bike cafe (used to be Meon Hut). Had a good run out and a chin wag.
And back to the madhouse I call work tomorrow.........
Massive hugs to you all
xx
Karen
Nice to see you toxophilite, good to hear you are doing well. I found a couple of cartoons just for you......
Clearly they aren’t quite as good as hitting the target as you Karen! Xx
