...It is so nice that everyone works like a sort of team on here, and if one doesn’t know the answer, someone else will!
I am sorry I have been having a few lil breaks from here as have big stuff here to deal with...but it is nice to see what you are all up to.
........I am totally with you with the puzzles at night....and I try not to come onto my Ipad ,too,as I think the particular light keeps me awake...but sometimes I do break out and come in!!
the puzzles books....well,I am on Book 4 of the Daily Mail “Picture Wits”which I love and have been “addicted” to since I found out I could do them and my Night Sister couldn’t!(she can do EVERYTHING!)!But I am trying to eek out book 4 as...there aren’t any more!!!!
Normail cryptic puzzles do my head in (which doesnt help if I am trying to feel sleepy)...but have found a puzzle book which I do quite like so am going onto that next.
well..I didnt think I would write a dissertation on Puzzle Books but there we are...
I do hope your nice knitted animals come out well....you have a real knitty-animal Factory going on there!!can’t wait to see Pia!
...some funny memes of guineas!!made me laugh!
I may think of a little addition to the Pia story too...she is still with her boyfriend and the “matrons” of the town are still looking rather disapproving!!

Dearest lovely ladies,
I've not had chance to catch-up on all the posts, sorry. If anyone has any tips on how we can read and turn pages quicker this might help me, haha, its crazy how long it take me.
The photographs are lovely.
Wishing you a peaceful and restful night.
Sending love and hugs xxxx
I was going to say evening all, but I suppose Good Morning is more appropriate!
sorry to hear your CT was delayed an hour and that you had to drink more water, it’s bad enough drinking what they have already asked you to drink! As for LP having dark chocolate, he’s basically a guinea Pig dustbin and will consume anything so don’t worry! He said he had a nice time with his Aunty Puzzler! He’s got his paws crossed for good results!
seaspirit44 LPwill be more than happy to join you on the 1st and 2nd April, although I will apologise now for whatever mischief he comes up with on April Fools Day.....hmmmmmm!!!
, hope you feel better soon, hope little Pia is looking after you xx
Sending Love and Hugs to All xxxxxxx
, my friend I totally empathise with you! I sat in my GP’s office yesterday and just cried! These Flushes or in my case Sweats are driving me insane! When they hit, like at this precise moment I literally drip with sweat, to the point where the clothes I am wearing are wet it is so embarrassing and uncomfortable! Not then helped by my GP saying that some people continue to have hot flushes for good!!! NOT what I wanted to hear when my flushes were under control with the help of Venlafaxine until recently! So she has upped my dose
not ideal but if it works I’m not complaining!
Have you tried anything to help the flushes? Drugs? Acupuncture? Menopause magnet? Cotton sheets etc etc Can you tell I’ve been like this for a long time! As for stopping the drug only you can make that decision, all I would say is make it an informed one! Ask the benefits this drug is giving you compared to you stopping it, it amazed me how little difference the Tamoxifen was making in my case! Although for some any difference is worth trying! However I know how debilitating hot flushes can be!
IF you have tried all the ways you can to stop the flushes and you think stopping the hormone treatment is your only option then I for one would completely understand and respect your decision. Just make sure you talk things through with Onco and that YOU are happy with YOUR decision!
Sounds like you might need the support of our little friend today so Aunty Kessy, LP is on his way........
Hope it goes well Hun, will be thinking of you. Please let us know how you get on! Sal xxx
Well my fellow Fruit Loops, As you may of read above I had a rough day yesterday getting very emotional in front of my GP over these bloody horrendous Hot Flushes! Anyway after my appointment I was messaging the lovely lady I speak to on Maggie’s online, and I mentioned being frustrated as I stupidly thought that my hot flushes were under control and I couldn’t work out why they had returned, with a vengeance! As nothing had changed?! So she then mentioned, here’s a big word for us all...... TACHYPHYLAXIS which apparently affects 25% of people (so that’s bound to include me) who take drugs like Venlafaxine! It’s where for no apparent reason the body gets used to the drug and so stops responding to it, so increasing the dose might help or sometimes she said they recommend stopping it, having a break for a few weeks and then starting again! But I hope increasing the dose will help, with both the flushes and my mood!
There! That’s my word of the week for you! Has anyone else had this experience before? I was surprised my GP didn’t think of it! So I shall go to my next appointment armed with this! At least it gives me an explanation! Which is better than thinking it’s just me and that I will be this unhappy forever not a nice thought! Xxxxx
