.
Sal, I know - it's like sand - you're digging it our of crevasses you didn't know you had (and I have plenty of those) for weeks!
I used to do school visits, and never failed to leave without glitter, sand, paint or playdough attached to my person...
I'm sure you could style out the glitter in personal places thing!!!!
I won't pack my handbag with the dustpan then - I carry enough crap in it as it is, a bit like Mary Poppins...
Mind you, a dustpan is apparently nothing. Went to the theatre in Woking the other day and they were doing bag searches. Outside, there was a list of things that were not allowed, including alcohol, glass containers, firearms, fireworks, which were fair enough, but also:
sports equipment, suitcases and folding bikes!
I did ask whether I'd be okay with a non-folding bike and the security chap seemed to think that would be okay as it wasn't on the list...
Oh, and illegal drugs. Well, I had plenty of legal ones, including a fragmin injection (which was hidden in the front pocket so he didn't see it - not sure I'd have been allowed in with a syringe!!! )
However, it was all worth it to see the ballet.
A word of warning for anyone going to the theatre on a Thursday matinee - it seems to be the time for coach parties of school children and old people - the toilet queues were horrendous and old people especially are BRUTAL - I'm sure they have their elbows sharpened especially for the occasion!
I'm resting today as I seem to have a busy week with appointments next week:
Monday - optician - can't see a bloody thing since I started this chemo, so new glasses needed
Tuesday - hospital for pre-chemo bloods
Wednesday - dentist, Hickman line removal then chemo
Thursday - sleep clinic appointment
Friday - oncologist
How the heck did I ever have time to work????
Happy Saturday everyone - sending you all hugs - hope everybody has as good a day as possible.
So glad you got to the ballet,!!
I have booked to see the Nutcracker by the bolshoi ballet corps just before Christmas by sattelite at the local cinema....am looking forward to it.I love my local cinema....it is so intimate and has a bacony overlooking the town .I love to support it,although there is a new enormous Supa Dupa one which is very expensive recently opened up in town and I think it is going to over whelm it as it is shutting in a few years.Grrrrrrrr
Hi everyone just been catching up on several days worth of posts.LondonLass you made me laugh about the glitter.i was shopping for some new clothes yesterday.hubby gave me birthday money last month but first chance to go and spend it.i tried on a glittery top,god knows why as it’s not the sort of thing I would wear anyway.the changing room looked like my playroom after several small children have been ‘creative ‘.i found myself apologising to the lady.don’t know why really as it’s not my fault the top was so badly made.it also was nearly low enough to show my navel never mind my 1 and a half boobs. What was thinking of!came home with usual, jeans and sensible tops/jumpers.i’m very predictable.didn’t find any glitter in any strange places so think I got off lightly.
