  • The results were clear, thank goodness. I could still lose my kidney but at least cancer isn't a problem at the moment. Seeing me again on the 19th December he still wants me to come then. Lots of options to consider including but not limited to careful monitoring, he was surprised at what he saw during my op and wanted to check all bases. Which was good he was covering all bases, just wished he hadn't scared me, but he apologized for that. I have trust issues as it is but I also understand why he was direct he didn't want me having too many unpleasant surprises at once.

  • Wonderful and relax xxxx

  • It's know wonder I get confused about appointments. Firstly because I have so many of the bloody things, but also because sometimes I have the strangest calls!!

Lymphoedema Nurse calls! They are sorry to mess me around but could they change my appointment from 6th Dec to the 13th?

Well as I'm chatting on my phone I can't see my diary so I agree and say any problem I will call back! All the time I am thinking I have something else on that day as it just sounds familiar!

So I come off the phone and check my diary! I was correct I did have something on the 13th......

    A Lymphoedema Appt at 12!!!!!!!!

Work that out! Only difference is she wants to see me at 11am! So do they not no what they are doing OR.....

    AM I PSYCHIC Astonished

Psychic Sal that does sound pretty good!!

    Weird VERY weird.

  • Well middle ground scenario better than the worst.

See you more of a fairy godmother than a Psychic Sal

Shove the list on the fire or bin. And do what makes you feel happy. Sure as hell that is NOT emptying a dishwasher

  • Hmmmmmm interesting thought , although not sure I have the body to carry off the tutu!! Plus with my laziness in shaving legs at this time of year. I'd be more like the Hairy Godmother Rofl

Wow that's giving away more information than anyone needed to hear!! Whoops!!!! Sorry!!!!!! Xxx

    Yes, Surrey!

Unfortunately, we probably won't have time for coffee - between the matinee and evening shows and taking the dancers out for snacks, our time there will be pretty tight I think!

Would have been nice to see you though!

    - definitely psychic Sal I reckon - another string to your already pretty amazing bow!

Who knows how the NHS appointment system works - at least you remembered that you already had something that day!

List duly binned. So today I have achieved the following:

    1) Knitted the hoover

    2) Started knitting the downstairs

    3) Hoovered the salami

    4) Put bloods in the dishwasher

    5) Ate the leg warmers

    6) Napped at the hospital.

    I think that was everything...

Just back from the hospital - what a horrible day it is out there. Turns out that the blood cultures they took from my line last week were positive again (peripheral bloods negative) for two different bugs, so definitely have a line infection. Now awaiting an emergency appointment to have it removed and tomorrow's chemo will be via cannula instead - that'll be nice! Taking bets in how many goes they have to have to got one in successfully!

Ah well, one of life's little challenges. Positive aspect, without the line, it'll mean I don't have to go into the unit on day 15 of the cycle for line care - one less appointment  - yay!!!

Oh, just thought of another of today's achievements - I have ganneted a whole box of orange matchmakers...

    Hugs to everyone!

Glad to hear that the results were not cancer related - hopefully they'll be able to make a plan for anything else that needs to be done!
