  • Oh thats a bit off putting on curries hope your feeling better now. I am very allergic to shellfish and can simpify as i have a simlar reaction, your not allergic to shellfish as well are you? I ask because i have heard a few people recently on treatment that have suddenly become allergic to shellfish, why shellfish i really dont know but its a thought, because food poisoning is awful but if your allergic to something init too double whammy.

  • Massive hugs to everyone from a rather unhappy/uncomfortable Marmalade. He has managed to keep his bladder empty today, but it is obviously painful/burning. No sign of infection though. He's to go in as a day patient tomorrow for bloods, needle urine sample and ultrasound. The samples will be sent away for a comprehensive battery of tests, just to make sure  nothing has been missed.

Bloody arthritis and tendonitis flare up in my hands today (probably stress!!) has made driving difficult. Fortunately I had a quiet day and was able to duck out early. Must remember to pick up pain meds tomorrow.

Can't talk to mum, as their phone cables have been stolen and it will be at least 2 weeks before they are fixed. Only in South Africa..............

    Okay, enough about my woes.

glad you made it home quickly. Love the dog stuck to the fridge!!!

hope you get well soon. Food poisoning is the pits. I must look out Marmalade's policy later. That's what it's there for. And he gets discount because he's a rescue!!

I don't think it is all due to us being away, as I had him up to the vet before we went already. That said, stress is definitely a factor and he is highly strung anyway. There has been a fox in the garden which really upsets him too. He is getting the pheremone stuff in his food twice a day, as well as Metacam.

a warm welcome to the nuthouse!! So sorry to read of your Mum. And glad we can help you through the dark night hours.

I hope you are getting enough rest and taking care of yourself. It's always so hard to get the balance right isn't it? We have a life to be getting on with living, and our frailty keeps getting in the way!!

    - woohoo! keep hanging in there - you have to get some benefit in reaching pensionable service!!!

last but most definitely not least - thanks for the messages the last couple of days. Can't wait to give you a proper hug!!

A fine Impala specimen. They are very clever animals - the females are all preggers, but they don't give birth until there is enough water around to support the new additions.

Right, I guess I need to see about some food. Scrambled egg and bacon anyone?

    Hugs xx
