Ahh, welcome Porcha27 but sorry you’ve had to find your way here, the thread was started by a lovely lady called LondonLass who doesn’t get on here quite so often these days, but still cares about us all very much.
I hang around, have my own thread full of ups and downs but post here quite often too. Sadly I’ve had far too much cancer in my family, son only just diagnosed but with a rare blood cancer. (Profile tells you more)
however I’ve popped on to say night night, (kept falling asleep watching tv!) and hope all sleep well and stay safe. Lots of sleepy fairy dust available for all who wish
Hugs xxx

Hello Porcha27 and welcome to the Awake thread.
I'm sorry about your diagnosis,.it will have turned your world upside down. The waiting that you are going through now, is the pits. In the following days, the hospital team will be having meetings and planning your treatment. I found out recently that your name isn't mentioned its all done on your hospital number.
It feels like you are so alone but everything will be put in place to ensure the best treatment. You will get your life back, but its just on pause for a while.
Sending lots of love to you. I hope you like guinea pigs, I will try and post a picture
Thank you Anna, knowing there are others out there does help, I just hate that we've all been joined together by this horrible disease
Tonight since its Saturday I decided on a couple of hot toddies to lull into the land of dreams....hopefully lol.
I've seen cooling pillows in the local department store, may be a good shout for you xx
Oh that is the cutest guinea pig I ever did see!!!
Just wanted to add…..
pleased you found us! Sorry you have been diagnosed BUT you are now among some of the nicest people/friends that you are ever likely to know! I’d say meet, but that’s highly unlikely the way things are going!! But never say never!
I can confirm that most of the ‘Fruit Loops’ are completely bonkers and a few are almost completely bonkers! So if this sounds like the type of people you want to surround yourself with, then you’ll fit right in!
If nothing else, we will show you that even through your darkest days there will be someone around to make you smile, or offer a hug or maybe even both!
You’ll probably find it hard to believe that you’ll find something to laugh at ever again! But believe me, you will! Laughter truly is the best medicine when you think you’ve hit rock bottom!!
Look forward to getting to know more about you! Hopefully you’ll meet LP (Lucky Pants) at some point! If we don’t make you smile, he will. So pull up a chair and settle in, together we will help you through the coming Days, weeks or months! You are NOT alone!

Welcome Porcha27 sorry you have found us but it is a great place to be. Nothing you can’t say on here, ask advice, vent, we’ve all been there and done that so let’s go on this wild ride together. Hope just knowing you have company (and the toddies ) will bring on some sleep, hugs xx
Morning (Night) All
Not posted on Awake before. But I am awake and can't sleep. Made myself a nighttime herbal tea. Not sure whether to turn the telly on. Dog was pleased to see me and has now joined me on the sofa.
Sending sleepy vibes to those still awake x
