  • Morning. Managed 6 hours last night but woke up thinking I'd slept ages and it was only 12.30 (noisy neighbours!) Its the tamoxifen that makes me nauseous. Rads is going ok. Officially half way through. only an hours delay late yesterday! Plodding on xx

  • Sat here at the start now so fingers crossed. She’s ok but she’s very anxious about passing me covid or anything else bless her, she suffers from anxiety anyhow so all this just feeds it. It’s annoying they’ve relaxed all the restrictions and now talking about needing another semi lockdown Rage it’s going to be a hot one here too! Have a good day all x

  • Lovely to hear from you ! Hope you get more energy soon. Miss you xxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Good luck  XX

  • Thank you all, LP was excited, there is a long corridor called ‘hospital street’ and he zoomed all the whole length of it (looking for treats of course) and tried to cajole people having their lunches for a tiny snack, explaining he was Covid-safe and as they were in a hospital, so should they be too! But I did try and get him to keep a 2 metre distance as much as possible, and he was very good wearing the mask he came with.

he was most intrigued as to the injection being in a fat syringe, (lead covered) and didn’t want any himself thank you! He was happy to encourage me to drink plenty as long as he could nibble at my sandwiches (but I’m not sure he likes Marmite, ?)

He tried hard to clamber up and stay in my arm straps but when he realised it would be quite a while he decided to go and watch it all on the screen. I’m not sure what he saw as he zoomed off to check hubs had finished his sandwiches, and he’s on his way back to you Sal.

Results in about 7-10 days, she said.

Hubs was safe thank goodness. yes I did worry!

  • Grrrr, just wrote a long reply and it’s gone!

LP enjoyed himself I think, he zoomed along the long corridor called ‘hospital street’ and as it was around lunchtime he tried asking for treats, but although he kept saying he was Covid-safe and so they all should be cos it’s a hospital, I’m not sure he had much luck! But he might have done his waist line a favour by all the galloping around!

He was intrigued at my injection as it was from a very fat syringe (lead covered) but didn’t want any himself thank you!

He came back to the car when I had my lunch (not sure he likes Marmite sandwiches, ) but he did scoff some of the crusts)

He was urging me to drink lots (as I was supposed to) and it was so hot today that was easy to do. He thought about getting strapped in with my arms but when he realised he’d be there a long time he thought he’d rather watch on the screen with the lovely lady (who had tried her best to get me scanned as early as she could, as I’d explained my concerns) but then suddenly he’d zoomed off, think he came to check on hubs before I got home. He’s well on his way home to you Sal, thank you lots

  • Mine feels heavy too. Tired today but think its the heat. Woke up 3.00 am ish too. Too hot and sweaty.

  • Catching up....

thankyou, I’m doing ok. Lymphoedema clinic this morning (f/u 3/12), GP appt tomorrow for review of remainer breast due to intermittent tenderness/aching since March so, as I’m mindful of prior experience, if in doubt check it out or better to be safe than sorry comes to mind. In spite of having yearly mammograms not given open access... only for cancer side. OH isn’t back for another 4 weeks but he’s keeping busy sorting everything out interspersed with r&r. I’m slowly, very slowly, getting prepared for painting some walls. Very boring but necessary. I’ve not caught up with how things are with you and hubs yet,  but I will. I hope you are looking after yourself. Hugs xx
