Good morning......
Hope you all enjoy your bank holiday.....
Today France gets back to work . It's called La Rentrée......the return.... with schools returning during the week. Some interesting stats.....one in two 12 -17 year olds are now vaccinated as the policy was different here. We need a vaccination pass to even have a cup of coffee and gendarmes have checked mine at least three times. From today all restaurant workers must be vaccinated or lose their jobs. As you can imagine....it's very controversial........but for us the customer.....I'm quite happy. These workers now join emergency services, medical and carers for compulsory vaccination.
My knee has just started to improve. Last night was the first night I almost slept and didn't need an extra pill. When I look at the photo it seems quite wimpish that it is has caused so much distress. Five year olds probably deal with worse when they fall off their bikes and lots of you are coping with mastectomy and lumpectomy wounds. Sorry if I made a fuss......
I hope to get to the market today. The produce in my garden is running low. The cool spell earlier in August seems to have stunted production. Weather is lovely now. We have a top 20's week forecast with blue skies. This is the perfect temperature. Warm, sunny but not too hot to do jobs during the day.
moomy......I am so pleased you enjoyed your family yesterday. As it's actually today.....Happy Anniversary..... I don't see why we can't toast you both twice!
Take care......love Karen
Are you kidding me that looks incredibly painful!!! What a huge injury in the most godawful place! I hate to say it but that’s going to be driving you nuts for weeks, I do hope not but how’re you feeling now venicelagoon? Happy anniversary again Moomy!!
I saw on the other thread you had a lovely bbq which sounds fantastic and just the tonic you needed after recent events. I hope you sometimes better tired minion?
We had a lovely day yesterday other than a run in I had with someone who took offence to me asking them to step back in a queue and launched an anti mask diatribe at me. Honestly you couldn’t make it up! I’ll put it on the thread about annoying people though so I got a good tale out of it Every cloud!! And in even better news, and this’ll make you jealous, 7hrs 50 mins only one wee wake up, honestly I’m going to be like superwoman today, it’s that fairy dust Moomy
have a good day
Oh Karen/Lacomtekp that looks incredibly sore, bless you!
Thank you for the Anniversary wishes, we celebrated last evening with the fire pit going, a bbq using our Cobb, and son also bought a ‘log candle’ which is a new idea but it burnt very well once it got going! It ended up in the fire pit.
Hubs did get to bed earlier than the rest of us but not that much!
