  • Hi everyone,

Today was a good one for me. Due to cancer and Covid it’s  been two whole years since I have been at my choir rehearsal. It was so good to be in a large group again - socially distanced of course - and so lovely to sing again.
Dearest Like I want to thank you for the fairy dust you send us each night. It is a comfort night night and it has become a habit for me to open this thread last thing at night to say Goidnight to you all. Crazy I know GrinningI know you are going through a hard time just now and send love and best wishes. You are so supportive to everyone here I want you to know how much you are appreciated. Big hugs.

thank you for the lovely PC. I miss my visits to France snd love seeing your photos. And the advice you give is invaluable. Good you are feeling better.
Sorry that I can’t mention everyone but send all Fruit Loops new and old my best wishes . It is a lovely supportive community here.

  • Wonderful to hear you’ve been doing something you love! Nothing better. Well grogg your post has never appeared so maybe we’ll never know what naughtiness you wrote! 6 hours here, 3 wake ups though for loo which worries me that the UTI is winning again, I’m still on the antibiotics so I don’t know, fingers crossed! Have a good day everyone, Moomy, I hope today is an easier day for you, happy Monday all xx

  • Well woke at 3 then actually fell back to sleep and woke gone 6 (next door messing with bins). So maybe 6 hours last night. I was tired from drive home and even slept without a bra on and had snug vest on instead. Perhaps this is a turning point? Have logged my request for gp so see if that helps too. Just need to get to Fri as first radiotherapy session and getting anxious. Keep plodding on x

  • It has.  I used the word "ar&e". So perhaps that triggered review.  Re up to wee at night might be worth asking GP to check blood sugar.  I was peeing a lot at night and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes!

  • Morning, Fruit Loops!

I hope the weather is better, it certainly seems pleasant here….

thinking of all who have appointments of any sort this week and hoping they go as well as possible.

Had a bit of a disturbed night but managed a few more hours afterwards…..hubs is still dozing (as per usual!)

    Hugs xxx

  • So far so good on reduced dose  Ypunmust be really fed up with the neighbours t the back xx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • don't worry if the UTI appears to be coming back. Sometimes they give people Trimethoprim (don't know if I have spelt that properly) permanently. I know yours is caused by the chemo and not permanent but I'm.just saying that its possible to give someone antibiotics long term to keep it away while your body recovers from the chemo.

Hello   Sorry bit of a delayed response. Just wanted to share that I used Aloe Vera gel during radiotherapy and for several weeks afterwards.  I know others have used different creams to help.  Hope your skin soon settles down.
