Morning Fruit Loops, hope you’re all as ok as possible today? And that you have a good day, naps if needed…..
hubs said he had an awful night, dreamt about a football match but couldn’t switch the tv off! (we both hate football!) His duvet was almost off, bless him! He’s been to the loo (has been a problem!) and settled back down for a short while before getting up
Hugs xxx
Moomy
Hoping you all can get better sleeps …it is a real bugbear not being able to.
I can maybe give you a few little things which over a long time, have helped me…
cover your eyes if possible…often that works for me.
maybe have a bath before bed,it cools your body down and should relax you.
start to get up early even if you don’t have to.It has helped me to get my sleep pattern back in sync.
go to bed when you feel the first fairy dust make you sleepy.I used to fight it off …
ask your GP for something to help you get back into a pattern.
And lastly….moomy…glad your husband is getting a bit better with the loo.His dream reminded me that I have had 2 vivid dreams. One was Prince William married me on top of a mountain, and we padded down the mountain side on lily pad leaves. Then the other night I dreamt that Colin Firth was everso in love with me and was wanting a second date.
lit was everso vivid!!
xx
Fantastic dreams !!! Gareth Southgate was too busy with his football to feature in any of mine.......so I've given him a free transfer (and a free kick!)
Night night Fruit Loops sleep well and stay safe
plenty of sleepy fairy dust for all who wish
Moomy
Good morning......
I hope the fairy dust worked for you moomy
As it's Sunday, will you get family visits to help you today?
Northerner.....I hope the Cumbrian weather is as nice as here for your week away.
It's a beautiful dawn and actually warm air when I opened the shutters. That's been much missed this summer......
Anna12345, Tired Minion and WhatHappened.....as the air waves are silent, I'm hoping it was a good night for sleeping?
Galligirl......I love the fairy dreams.....can you send some this way. I am going through a spell of continual nightmares. I can't tell you what they are about....I just wake up several times a night terrified! I suspect it's one of my pills....there have been a few brand changes lately but which ?.....,and do I want to stop any to trial the theory.....probably not!
......I am so pleased further investigations on your polyps were hopeful. It will be interesting to know if they are connected to your tablets and which one as OH's polyps have definitely been growing faster. Perhaps he is taking the same one?
As today is beautiful......warm ( 30°) we are treating ourselves to lunch at the summer river restaurant. Summer being nearly over, it will close beginning of September but today will be perfect. Close to the River Drone so cooled by running water,, gazebo under ancient trees, children playing nearby on the beach enjoying themselves and good food. I will send you a postcard when I'm there.
If the pandemic has taught us anything, it must be to live for today.......housework, gardening, decorating can all wait. .......Time together has to be the priority now.
Have a good Sunday everyone. Hope the chemo effects, reflux etc are settling. Thinking of you all whether mentioned or not.
Morning!! My daughter came home for one night in between her two weeks with her dad so I had an afternoon with her and evening last night which was just lovely. She’s going again this morning to Devon. I’m feeling a lot better, the antibiotics are working and I’m finding if I carefully balance what energy I expend with sitting and resting I can feel ‘ok’. If I try and do too much, and we all know that too much on chemo can be horribly little, I feel very wobbly again but I’m getting there this a cycle again I think. Just hope this UTI does one fast. I’m going to see if I can manage a small dog walk today I didn’t log on earlier as I’ve been having a text chat with a friend overseas but yes thank you, an ok night, big party going on over the back of me again last night, so sweaty night with the windows shut and a couple of wake ups but I reckon I got 6 hours somewhere in that which is fantastic!! Your harden looks amazing, what a perfect place to start the day with a cuppa. Hope everyone is feeling ok, has had a better sleep and has a peaceful and happy Sunday lined up xx
Woke about 530 so maybe 6 hrs sleep. Better than the 5 the night before. I try not to look at phone at night. I just feel exhausted. Afternoon naps not working. Determined to speak to gp tomorrow as also feeling bit ick again today. Not helped that couldn't get my tamoxifen down either. May try and switch to taking it in an evening. Has anyone tried that? Not up to much today other than a 1.5 hr drive home from partners house. Hope everyone else is doing ok x
Hi Lacomtekp, your garden is lovely, and enjoy your lunch by the river.
My polyps are definitely caused by the PPI I take, Lansoprazole, and this applies to all PPIs. It is just gastric polyps that they cause, not others. Are your OH’s colonic? I hope his do not go on growing!
Love your posts. Xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Postcard from Le Restaurant du Plage, St Aulaye.
If you look carefully bottom left you will see there are even whales on our inland beaches! OH looks relaxed today, doesn't he? We love this restautant whoch sadly has to close beginning of September as it will be under water before Christmas....
Not much of a healthy diet today but we did omit dessert and replace it with expresso coffee and it was delicious. Also we shared the entree. Can you imagine eating both plates(top left) because that was one portion!
.....colonic....I hadn't realised they were ddifferent.Thank you for explaining. Luckily although the last removal was only three years instead of five so growing quicker, his next check is in 18 months so less to worry about on the ' what if' front......
