.
so sad about your Mum, mine was the same and you get used to thinking of them as these frail poorly little people. And now so many years after she's passed myself and my brother talk about her like she was in her hayday fit and well and the bewildered little person is forgotten. Hugs to you in the coming weeks and months x xxx
have you tried substituting Ranitidine (zantac) for the omeprazole it's worth a try as available at chemist. Also sipping milk or peppermint tea xxx
best of luck at vets with the mutt and don't you dare have any down days I'm hoping to see you in Manchester in Sept xxx
I had terrible trouble with my GI tract during chemo. I was given loratidine (Zantac) prior to each infusion so tended to take that for reflux/upper gut issues and then Donnatabs for lower gut cramps. I don't know if they're called the same thing in the UK but most of these drugs seem to be world-wide these days. The main active ingredient is hyoscyamine sulfate.
Most of all though, I'd suggest you talk to your chemo team as they must have other options in their arsenal. Especially talk to them before taking any over the counter meds.
Best of luck, I know how uncomfortable it can be!
Thank you , so sorry about your mum xxxxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Violetsniffp, and LondonLass, LP and Scooter behaved well while they had the treats, but of course they gobbled them up very quickly, and started shouting for more. They made so much noise that the lovely imaging guy has to rattle the cage to shut them up. They were quiet for a while, then started singing rude songs. By the end of the scan they had worn themselves out and went to sleep , thank goodness. They are on their way back to their respective Mums as we speak.
The scan went well. I was looked after very well. They took bloods as well, so I will have all the results in one go. I had a stupid accident while there. Pulling up my compression sleeve( always use after bloods/cannula a) my hand slipped and I hit myself in the teeth, imperilling my front bridge! I think it is OK but I have a cut lip and it feels funny. I'm not fit to be allowed out!! Xxx

Oh I am soooo pleased that they behaved for you,
h ah aha I had to laugh a bit at their naughtiness after their cage was rattled !
Actually, you did go to sleep for a while and a little girl let them out of the cage, but They came back in time to make it loook like they had been good.(they are good at that).Scooter was in the eye department having his eyes tested ,and LP was visiting the psychiatric Help department.
they are sooo pleased that your scan went well and that you will recieve all results at the same time.and they are sooooooooo very sorry about when you hit yourself in the mouth.Awwwwww yo need a big hug xxx
Hahaha Violetsniff, !!!
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

, Hope your bloods were okay and you are able to have your next chemo today! Fingers crossed for few side effects!!
seaspirit44, pleased to hear that the scan went well. When do you require LP again, for the results?
I'm going to have a quiet day today as yesterday was quite busy, for me anyway! Even went out to the cinema in the evening and managed to stay awake!! Knackered today though!
Need to tidy off a few kitchen counters today, ready for my Macmillan Night In on Saturday! Otherwise I won't have room to put the food!!
Had a tearful night last night! But it's a new day and I WILL make the most of it! Sending Lots of Love and (((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) to all. Sal xxxxxxx
Just dropping in ...
Had a read back to see what's been going on but now I've forgotten who's doing what or when !! so just wishing everyone the best whatever they're doing.
I do remember Kacang back from your hols and agree totally about photos.. they can be more powerful than any words. Glad you had a good time, I would love to go to Vietnam and Japan.
The awesome Karen toxophilite .. another win. Do you get trophies/rosettes? as I was thinking you'll have to build a trophy room soon.
seaspirit44 you made me laugh as usual with the guineas. and who can forget Optimistic .. I read what Sal said to you and totally agree, also if you don't stop googling I will find you and kick your ass into next week..if I can raise my rheumatic leg!
So I did remember a few as I was typing but still think of and love you all.
I stayed weekend at sons to help with gkids while they went to wedding. It was really good and had no problems just a fun time. Monday I went for a little drive around just to see a bit more and find my bearings road wise. Within 10 mins I was out in the countryside and it was fab so deffo will be taking a closer look in time. The Botanic gardens have got a fayre in a couple of weeks so hoping to get to that.
Pain seems to be under control with the higher dose of gabapentin so fingers crossed.
Today the sun has got his hat on so I'm going out to play in the garden (as usual) .. planting so much for Spring/summer if they all survive it should be really lovely next year.
Enough of my babble.. have a lovely, pain free day to all you fruit loops and pets.
xx

SUPERMUM XXXX
It may not seen like it but my life is slowly getting back on track .I think I probably had some kind of Ptsd from the way I was told. This may sound ridiculous but I've truly thought of cancer every second since diagnosis. Yes I've had happy times concerts days out but it's always been there .Well just lately im having moments of NOT thinking of it I'm sleeping more peacefully and not waking in tears My poor family and hubby have endured so much I hope I'm not heading for a fall I'm not stupid enough to think it's over but what else can I do but live the best i can xxx .You're all amazing putting up with me xxx
Hi and hugs to everyone!!!
Well, bloods were fine today - amazing what a reduction in dose can do, so had second lot of cycle today - we shall see what the next few days bring as I've not got this far before!!!
There has been a sad tinge to the day though - I don't know whether you remember that about four months ago, we were told that Mini, my ancient and much loved cat, had a large mass in her belly and was on limited time. Well, she enjoyed the summer and all the extra treats she got, but over the weekend she appeared slower and less comfortable so we took her to the vets this morning and it was decided that the time was right for us to say goodbye. She still had her slice of chicken before she went to the vet, so she managed to keep her role as fridge magnet right up until the end!
Hopefully, wherever she is now, there will be a constant source of chicken, mature cheddar and tuna or she will NOT be happy!
We also found out this morning that Weeble, who was the cat I was trying to find in the garden when I fell down the steps the other day, has cataracts in both eyes so is going blind- I had my suspicions... She is already completely deaf and has coordination issues, so lookiing after her in her aging years is going to be 'interesting'!!!!
