Thank you, all good ideas. Andy has got some lavender waiting to go in. Lee the man doing the redesign has suggested bee bombs as he calls them. Wild flowers sound good as well. I want an easy life gardening wise.
I have to do a lot of weeding at the back. It is in tiers. I am thinking of putting some leylandi in to hide the top tier and let it do its own thing. The grass on the compost heap is getting pretty tall.
So tired today, danced the last 2 days. My energy has evaporated. Going to London tomorrow to be part of a Look Good Feel Better photoshoot. A service to help women who have had a cancer diagnosis post treatment. An early start. X
If you plant lavender, Sabrina22 I can recommend ‘Hidcote’ as it’s fine being cut well down each year. Lavender normally will die if you prune into old wood, so can eventually get rather large. Leylandii is a thug, so beware! And virtually nothing grows around the roots as well.
Shrubs are a good way forward, look good and just need keeping in shape. One dodge I was told was go to a good garden centre once a month, take note of what appeals to you, in flower or colours you like, then you’ll have ideas for the whole year,

Daughter did her 2 talks in Belfast today at the company which packed the drug that got her into remission after 7 1/2 years of treatment. Yes as always she made them cry but had been asked to say ‘thank you’ for us all. She was given a laboratory tour too, (white coats, mesh hats and covers on shoes!)
she says if she’s not too tired it might be a Titanic museum tour tomorrow, she sent pics of the Harland and Wolff massive cranes.

I know, you are right maybe bamboo instead. It's all about energy and being the only gardener, husband saves his energy for golf. He helps in other ways.
The area where the trampoline was is a bit sad. I'll work on tidying it up and regrassing it first.
