Hello Violetsniff - my heating is back on too - mind you, it might not be on for long with the price of our last gas bill - that was scary ouch
Loving the photos of Hampton Court - it looks beautiful.
This covid as a lot to answer for in various ways - I am still scared to mix and reading how the numbers are increasing makes me feel like retreating back into my shall. My cousin has family in Cyprus and as gone over there for a month long holiday - over here they were wearing masks everywhere - over their they now feel free - hardly ever have to wear them.
Northerner , sorry I meant the 'tag' for me tagging you and Seaspirit into my reply wasn't working - your link worked fine, no problems there
Well can you believe it - another week gone .... Easter seems a distant memory and .... what easter eggs did we have any
Now I'm not sure if this link will work, its for Snowys_Mum and Scarlett ....I'm thinking this might be needed
Sending love to all Fruit Loops xx
Violetsniff how very beautiful are your pictures. I am jealous about Hampton Court xx
seaspirit44 to be honest I was thinking hepatitis but didn't like to say. Glad you are coming better.
We have covid at work but official line is not to test and just treat as a cold. However we are trying to keep people in their own space as much as possible and wearing masks etc.
Snowys Mum Well done Helen….it is still best to be careful esp of the old and vulnerable…I have noticed when people in general got complaiscent that the Hospitals and Doctors were still being careful and still ask to wear masks etc.
I also don’t want to be the opposite and scare anyone…younger and fitter are ,I am sure safer since vaxes and less likely to fall bad with it.
However, sorry you are knocked about with it seaspirit44 .I had a visit from an old Nurse friend today about 66 and she said hers recent COVID knocked her sideways too.
Very interesting that it can affect different parts of the body,I didn’t know that.Hepatitis isn’t pleasant, but I am sure much more welcome News than the feared ca.
She also says she has caught everything since retiring and we think it is because her immunity is down since leaving Ward work.
Eater eggs,WhatHappened ?Well I have a secret big one stashed by my settee …managed not to eat it all at once !!!xxx
(incidentally Gogglebox it on…oh no,I hope they aren’t going to show bodily bits!will have to turn over……oh good they have missed it all out. It’s awful when we all have to look at those bits ,well I think so anyway.Would really rather not….xxx)
Sorry about the Covid. Seems to be increase in it. Much colder again last few days so lighting wood burner if home. Went to residents meeting tonight and not for the first time asked if I'd stand as local councillor. Had to laugh when existing councillor told me they needed more young people like me ! I'm 60 this year
Snowys Mum I am so glad you are working there as will the residents and their families.....
I think it's wrong 'not test and just treat as a cold' - if everyone did this I feel we would loose so many more people unnecessarily .... Thank goodness you are trying to keep people in their own space and wearing masks when possible. ..... just seems so silly not to do this - Thank You for caring xx
Owww Violetsniff ..... now then, I think I need to sit on your settee ..... which side did you say
Just seen your post about Gogglebox..... it's on in the back ground and I can hear they have just got to....
......
oww
seaspirit44 I’m glad that it seems to be hepatitis though not pleasant. I wonder if that’s linked to your Covid illness? Please take it easy as Covid does exhaust, given half a chance! And although it appears to be a respiratory type illness, it does indeed become a circulatory problem too, attacking the whole body.
Snowys Mum good for you at trying to keep your home as carefully clear as possible. I’m firmly against this ‘if you’ve got it but feel ok, work as normal’ idea, there are those who are vulnerable and shouldn’t get it (both my kids plus myself are in that category) if possible. I’ve had the email to tell me that I should let the NHS know if I suspect I’ve got it as I will qualify for treatment. Think it must be the rather brittle asthma.
I gather NICE have reported that there are 1.2 million people who need to continue to be VERY careful. But no Govt support to help!?!
Hugs xxx
