  • Whathappened, thankyou for your kind words. Lucky Pants did indeed keep me company and it was an informative visit to the specialist. It would appear that a combination of tge position my arm was in for the RT (they struggled to get me lined up and I was on the rack for an hour at times), the treatments and my diabetes have led to a frozen shoulder. That is nothing I thought. But apparently the two types of injections they usually give include lidocaine which I am allergic to. So I am going to have physio and fingers crossed it works. Because apparently my shoulder might never improve! I asked if I would be successful in getting a disabled badge if it is being called a frozen shoulder and he said it was unlikely, even though I am struggling with parking and getting in and out of the car. So I worry I might have to stop driving at some point. But at the moment I am staying positive and hoping I get a really good physio. At least tge specialist did not dismiss the power of letro, one to make joints sore. I have massive inflammation around the ball of the socket joint. Odd that I never even had a twinge before RT and letrozole!! I wish the oncologist from Monday could have listened in!

I get really frustrated that I get so far behind with posts. Honestly, working really does just get in the way of living!! So I am so sorry for those I miss out.

Dicha your toe must be so painful. Such a small digit but it really will hurt. Def a good excuse for a drink and a restful weekend. I am glad you had a good time away.

Violetsniff, glad to see you are enjoying making your crafty bits. The birdhouse is so cute. You are so kind to take your nurse friend out for lunch.

I hope the concert goes wonderfully today seaspirit44. When did this park incident occur?? You did make me giggle which I am so sorry about as you must have been anxious you would be stuck there all night!

Moomy, I hope your recent trip in Goldie van has been good. I have missed where you went?

Sabrina22 the first wig looks fabulous.

Northerner, I hope you enjoyed The Lion King

Tired Minion, it is still such early days following your dad's passing, on top of your own cancer fatigue. To have started a new job as well is a lot to deal with when you had only recently moved. Please be kind to yourself and treat yourself. If you fancy a tea and cake I am here.

Does anyone else find it difficult coordinating all their tablets and food? I have three that mustn't be taken within an hour of each other but should both be taken at least half an hour before food. Butcher I wake up I am hungry. So I make my breakfast and sit and look at it for an hour and a half while the tablets do their thing in my stomach!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone xxx

  • Awww,  , that’s so sad, but at least now you know, and yes, some good physio should help you a lot.

I’m  bad at catching up,  , yes I was away in Goldie-van for a few days to a site between Cheltenham and Gloucester, it was very near the A40 so quite noisy, so really lovely to appreciate home and the quiet! But luckily the traffic was much less at night, so between 11pm and around 7am it was ok.

, yes it is still early days for you so please be kind to yourself. You’re doing wonders though.

, how was the concert? What did you sing? Or is it today?

are you back home after your holiday? And how is Miss Scarlett doing?

, how are you doing? Haven’t seen you post much recently?

to everyone, sending my love and of course,

    hugs xxx

    Moomy

  • I knew I would miss people out. It is hard scrolling back because you lose the post you have started and have to re open it.

Snowy's Mum I hope you had a good holiday.

LondonLass and Grogg how are things with you both?

I am having a lazy start to the day. The cats woke me around 5. Having fed them I have come back up to bed to read. All 3 cats are curled up on the bed with us. My OH hadn't stirred!

  • Sorry about your shoulder  , physio can be very helpful. Thanks for good wishes re concert. Regents Park incident was 2009, just before my BC diagnosis, so no excuse ! Xxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Concert tonight   Singing Faure’s and Rutter’s requiems. Was dubious about the Rutter as I don’t like his carols, but it is fab, and quite difficult. Xx

  • Ooooh, lovely,  I adore both works. My teachers chamber choir was among the first to perform the Rutter. (John Rutter worked at the OU for a while, so local to here then) and a few bits got directed back to John Rutter who duly modified his score!

    Hope the concert goes well

    hugs xxx

  • Thank you I'm being swayed, the cost of real hair is part of the decision. KissHeart️

  •   you look nice in the wigs so choose which you are most comfortable in xx

your bird house is a triumph. Feathered friends would be honoured to have such a magnificent dwelling.

glad you are safe home after your Goldie adventure. Yes I am.home and back at work. Miss Scarlett O'Hara, Peachy and Kiwi all well and happy to be back with me.

I am in awe of you moving house. I would love to move but know I have zero energy to accomplish. Also I have stray cats here so its all impossible.

oh my goodness, that sounds a nightmare, It has to go in your memoirs. Actually my Auntie Betty ran  the cafe in Alexandra Park Manchester and the gates were locked at night and the ladies of the night used to get locked in and had to climb over railings etc. As if they hadn't enough problems, so Auntie used to brew up for them.

Ouch!!! Get well soon little toe xxx

Well my news is that I am back at work. Yesterday I only had another nurse till 11am so from 11am-8pm I was the only registered nurse for 30 patients. There simply isn't enough nurses. Obviously I had plenty of care assistants and a Student Nurse who was running round for me but at one point I realised I was doing 3 things at once. Anyway everyone survived.

I'm sure I must have missed someone's news but I send love to all. Especially the wonderful  xxx
