I had a craniotomy in August and a lot of my head was numb after. The numbness is slowly going but I’m now getting these little shooting pains at the surgery site & the area is feeling quite tender.
is this normal? I’m struggling to get hold of my oncologist to ask so if anyone has any experience with this that’d be great!
Hi Shellbell,
I had my surgery in April (resection of a grade 4 GBM) and had all sorts of mild pain and strange sensations once they dropped the pain meds. It continues to today. My doctor told me to look for other symptoms, confusion, memory issues, balance problems, that sort of thing. However, always best to talk with a doctor.
Thanks Matt, it’s good to hear this seems to be normal! I’ll def check with my consultant though!
Thanks Mat in Kent seems I’ll have to get used to it then!
