At the end of the day the DVLA refer back to your consultant so perhaps you might want to have a chat with him about this.

Thanks Wee Me  that’s really helpful. I’m not sure which one applies to me as haven’t been told what grade it was so I will def take this up with my consultant! 

I was told not to drive for 12 months after major brain surgery, it is precautionary in case the swelling makes me have a seizure, 9 months later I have never had a fit and looking forward to being able to drive again in March 2024, my oncologist said that he doesn't think I will drive again at our last meeting but I do not intend to leave it at that, I have had an independant eye test that shows my vision is good enough to drive, I will now have some some additional vision tests and a meeting from the Neuro surgeon to see if it is safe for me to start driving again. I had a tumour and part of my Occipital Lobe removed which deals with the processing of our visual information.

 TheCrimsonCodpiece  def keep fighting that! Have everything crossed that you can start driving again! 

Did you have any radiotherapy?  We were told dvla will say no for up to two years after treatment ,  I hope you get driving again !
