Sick Of Everything

I’m finding everything really hard atm and I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m sick of chasing pain and illness while achieving very little. Waiting room after waiting room, Dr after Dr, referral after referal. What am I even trying to achieve anymore? Why

  • Because life is sweet. We all have these bad days. This is time to just start thinking about any one positive thing in the day. Even something really small like a good cup of tea

  • Hi Air101

I hope today has been an easier day than yesterday.

It's ok to feel frustrated and not to see the end goal in a positive light. We all have days like that and so far the success rate of getting through them is pretty good.

It's the strongest and most resilient among us who show/feel the emotions. By doing that you are processing them and not bottling them up. As Mat has said below, focus on one positive thing for the day.

Personally on the tough days I break the day down into manageable chunks of time eg if I can get to lunchtime, I'll be ok; if I can get through dinner; i'll be ok...Some days it works easier than others. I also keep a gratitude journal and write down 3 things that have happened during the day that I am grateful for and 3 things that made me smile. These don't need to be huge things. I can be little things like being grateful for the music you listened to or for bumping into a friend unexpectedly who made you smile, or a favourite meal for dinner.

This community is a safe and supportive space so please reach out here anytime. There's always someone about who gets it;, someone to listen, to hold your hand and to offer that virtual hug when its needed. You're not alone. We're got you.

  • Hi Air101, I'm sorry to hear things are tough for you atm. You have done the right thing in sharing with us how you're feeling. Whilst we are unable to physically change things we can reassure you that you are trying to achieve things because you matter, you are important and we care!

Just take one moment at a time and look for the smallest positives.

    Hugs

  • Hi Air101,

I hope you’re feeling less frustrated and the pain has subsided. Your right trips to see various clinicians can be exhausting. Nothing for me is local and it’s always an hour drive. But these things are manageable I hope for you. Like someone said earlier think of one good thing a day. They say even a smile can help you feel slightly better and if not just distract you for a second.

Remember 0808 808 00 00 is there for you as we all are

here is a joke to hopefully get a smirk

I ordered a chicken and an egg online.

I’ll let you know what comes first
