Hi all, I'm trying to seek some advice on my husband, he was diagnosed with terminal grade 4 glioma in feb, since then it has shrunk and had it regarded to grade 1/2. He has epilepsy now and left side weakness, short term memory loss. He is now getting out and about in a wheelchair but when he's been sat in it for any length of time his legs are giving way on him. He walks around the house without this issue day and night so not sure why it's only happening when he's been out in his wheelchair. Any advice would be appreciated thank you
HI Paulreds
so sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis but good to hear its been regraded to grade 1/2. My own husband was given a terminal diagnosis for a GBM4 last year but his symptoms differ, although he does have short term memory loss.
From what I've read and heard, everyone is different as each tumour is unique and causes different symptoms in different folk. I'd suggest raising your concerns with his medical team or you could reach out through (+) Ask an Expert - Macmillan Online Community. No question or concern is a trivial one when it comes to the symptoms these things bring. I learned that when I casually mentioned to our CNS that my husband had lost his sense of thirst.
Sorry I couldn't offer any more reassurance.
Hang in there. Stay strong
love n hugs
Wee Me xx
