Well my immunity being low with chemo has finally been hit by a virus. Shingles. I had to cancel my original op where I had a blocked kidney (now that’s pain). After the op I’ve been fortunate with all the germs and not had much of anything until this month. Shingles; almost kidney pain level and non stop. One hell of a bad rash, more than I’ve seen in the internet. On my waist line, all the way round to my spine and just over. Mega painful and lots of bad sores. I think I’m over the bad now and just sat in bed. Sorry I’ve not been on much but for me I’ve no really got anything from the blog so I thought I’d post here. Waiting on my MRI as it has been pushed back with all that’s going on?
So sorry to hear this. I believe shingles is excruciatingly painful. Hope you get some relief from it soon,
Take care
love n hugs

I'm sorry that this has happened. I also had shingles about a year into my treatment. It was in a similar area as yours, except maybe a bit lower. The pain of it was horrible, and all of my treatments had to stop for 3 weeks until it was gone. I then got the 2-phase shingles vaccine to hopefully prevent another outbreak.
Now, when I hear that someone is newly diagnosed with cancer, I recommend that they talk to their doctor about getting this vaccine before therapy ruins their immunity.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
