a warm welcome to the group. So sorry to hear about all that is going on with your mum. Life's too cruel.

I know its possible to rent a stairlift as  family friend did it last year to help her elderly husband. I'll check what company she used and let you know

Might also be worth a call to your GP and ask for an occupational health referral as there may be other aids they can offer to help make things easier.
