Hi. Thank you for the last response Wee mee. I’m still not ready to accept my sisters diagnosis but I’m also reading a lot about the impact alcohol has on the brain. She drank wine every night for the last 30years, it doesn’t help me cope with what’s about to happen so why I am I googling it? Looking for an explanation I guess
HI Dawn42
I hear you. I guess we all clutch at straws here trying to find answers that deep down we really don't want to hear.
I'm no scientist but what I would say is that my mother-in-law died from a primary brain tumour in 1993. She was 58 years old- never drank, never smoked, swam a mile every day and walked everywhere. The neurosurgeon told us when my husband was diagnosed at 50years old that it was just sheer bad luck.
Hang in there. Sending you a huge virtual hug
Love n hugs
Wee Me xx
