Hi everyone,
I am looking for other peoples experience of whole brain radiotherapy, my husband had a secondary cancer on the brain which was removed by surgery in Aug 2020. Recent scan is showing the cancer is back on the right side of the brain , whole brain radiotherapy is being suggested
Anyone had this treatment for secondary cancer , was it successful , it’s such a shock getting the news as Garry my husband is so well and showing no signs at all
we are hopefully going to speak to the consultant on Wednesday but so worried the outcome isn’t going to be good.
Hi fred64
I'm sorry to read that your husband needs further treatment as the cancer has recurred in his brain and it's a good idea to ask about other people's experience.
I'm not a member of this group but I noticed you hadn't had any replies yet. While you're waiting for replies if you type 'whole brain radiotherapy' into the group search bar you could see if there are any previous posts on this topic.
It might also be an idea to join the secondary brain cancer group and post there as well. That way you'll directly connect with others who's brain tumour is a secondary rather than a primary. If this is something you think might help then clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there where you can join and post in the same way as you did here.
Do let us know how your husband's appointment goes tomorrow
((hugs))
