Hi all
my 22 year old daughter had a colonoscopy yesterday.
She has been suffering unexplained fatigue, extreme pain when passing stool, intermittently bleeding when passing stool, constipation with episodes of diaorreah, abdominal pain and lower back pain.
her calprotectin test was 286 and her fit test was >400.
we been suspecting crohns as she has upper gastro symptoms too.
however her colonoscopy yesterday looked normal apart from what was reported as a small aphthous ulcer on the rectum.
they took 2 biopsy’s of it and 13 others around different areas of the large bowel up in to the terminal illueum.
They never really said anything to her apart from they have to wait for the pathology to come back and they would write to her and go in 4-6 weeks.
has anyone had a similar finding and it’s come back as cancer.
any advice would be greatful.
anxious and worried mum
