Hi I had a colonoscopy yesterday and was told I have a tumour in the distal transverse part of my colon I am in complete shock I don't know you always think it won’t happen to you but why shouldn’t it ? I’m waiting for a scan hopefully today and then depending on the results surgery in October I’m numb I don’t think I believe it!

  • Hi

it is a nasty shock when they tell you isn’t it!

You are in good hands now.  The waiting is the worst bit!

I didn’t believe it until after my surgery.  I was waiting in velindre cancer hospital to pick up my chemo and all I could think was ‘look at all those people who have had cancer’ …. It was only when I picked up the chemo it became real and I cried buckets outside the pharmacy.

sending you best wishes for a full recovery.
