Hello I was diagnosed last Monday so new member. I am 83 not tech savy. Just found out I have a small tumour in my rectum and another near my large colon. Plus the posability of secondary cancer from breast cancer 19 years ago, suspected in my bones.
The bowel team are meeting with the breast team with in the nect two weeks to discuss and decide next move. I have heart failure and athritis which already challenge me. Not sure yet how I am feeling about this news. Or where I go from here.
Would be interested to find out more about the groups and what support is around please.
Thank you for your time.xx
Hi Imposdiblr and a warm welcome to the board although I’m sorry to hear that you’re having to face cancer again.
I’ve attached a link below where you can enter your postcode and see if there are any support groups local to you? Your local hospital may have a Maggies centre where you can find lots of support and there’s often local groups at things like Leisure Centres, libraries etc.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
